Gaining an extra tick for BoA can actually Decrease your dps if it doesn't run for full duration.

BoA isn't like other dots, basically when you gain and extra tick for BoA, while its DPET increases slightly, its actual DPS decreases because there will be more weak ticks, and once you gain more haste, those weak ticks are changed again into stronger ticks.

Rough example:

Damage before extra tick:
1-1-2-2-3-3-3
After extra tick:
1-1-1-2-2-3-3-3

Either way the differencies are very marginal.
