My ram and my cpu cooler

    Hey.

I recently bought the Cooler Master Hyper 212+ cpu cooler, and I have the G.Skill Ripjaws 8GB 1600Mhz ram memories. Now, when I installed the cooler, I noticed that the ram wouldn't fit under it, so I placed the ram into slot 2 and 4.
I know you're supposed to place them in slot 1 and 3, but I have to ask, what is the difference? Will I get slower speed on them?

You can also move the CPU fan up a little higher if it is a matter of cm's. However you won't adversely affect the performance of your system by just moving the ram to slot B1/B2 or 2/4, etc. On older boards you would sometimes lose dual channel capabilities.

    Thank you for answering!
Alright, then if I won't notice it much during daily use, I don't think I will change anything.
