heya guys, recently decided i wanted to upgrade my RAM so started looking around and found most of the half decent ones were all DDR3, "oh great, my cheap ass old MB only takes DDR2", so then i started looking for AMD mobo's that take DDR3 and they all seem to be either AM3 or 3+ sockets..."uh oh..better make sure AM3/+ are backwards compatible..."*google search*"oh shit, they arent...now im going to need a new processor as well".
now i like to think i know the basics, but i have never got to learning every thing there is to know about computers, so i have put together my next 3 possible purchases to upgrade my machine, and was just wondering what you guys thought about them,
all my other components have recently been upgraded but i havent touched ram, cpu and mobo for a few years now so i guess it would be a good time to replace em anyway.
any feed back would be awesome guys and even if you think im being stupid you have better alternatives ^^ please bear in mind though i am UK based
