It's so interesting to see how insignificant we are compared to the rest of existence. (lol @ the Minecraft World)
There was something like this on newgrounds before, it's super neat.
The earth is not a cold dead place
Damn, I wish my computer could still run flash...
Garrosh did nothing wrong.

No we don't. Why do we have to do that? It's all we can know for certain, but we can definitely assume there are others in the universe. The Law of Big Numbers dictate that in all likelihood, there is other lifeforms in the universe. It's just the way numbers work. Without any evidence whatsoever to the contrary, it is immeasurably more reasonable to assume that there are other complex life in the universe than to assume that there isn't.

You don't need to know the likelihood. Our existence dictates that it is possible. Given the virtually infinite number of planets in the universe, even a minuscule probability would mean complex life elsewhere in the universe. Again, basic statistics. Also, I didn't say it makes life on our planet any less or more "spectacular". I just said you can't assume there isn't any (complex or intelligent) life elsewhere.
Even if there are billions of planets in existence that doesn't mean that there's other life in the universe.
You seem to have forgotten that it takes trillions of variables and circumstances all happening in a certain way to create the human life that exists on earth.
The chance that the human race would survive long enough to locate and contact any other life form is extremely slim.
This is just one of those things that you cannot know. Of course some people will assume one possibility while others assume another. I believe there is a 0% chance we will ever find other life in the universe in our lifetimes so it is a non-issue.
This is really cool, thanks for share it.
i fail to care especially given all the "we are insignificant compared to the universe" stuff ppl keep saying
Isnt 10% of infinite still infinite?
