Ele Shaman Dps Issues

I was hoping someone could take a look and make some suggestions on how this ele shaman could improve his dps. He is a solid player that just switched from his mage to his shaman about 4 weeks ago in order to help with raid makeup. He has tried stacking haste and has recently tried to have a little more mastery. We know that his trinkets are terrible but I do not believe that is the only reason his dps is "avg." Any input would help. Thanks in advance.

Well, the most common trend I see is that his fire totem uptime is usually less than 90%. You want that as close to 100% as possible. Anything less results in less personal and raid dps done.

Flame Shock uptime is 'ok', but it's still low enough to cause several non-crit LvB's.

I'll come back and double check more thoroughly when I get back home.
