I have roughly the same setup and i wasn't able to run it on high on 1920x1080. I would say half was on medium and half was on high... with filtering off.

hello, does anyone remember if gw2 has an auto-detect function to check which are the "best" video settings for your computer?
been a while since I was online so I don't remember if it was there or not.

Im moving to fibre optic and the earliest date given to me is the 29th of Aug and at the moment I dont have internet due to only 7 days notice needed for my service provider and they have disconnected the service.

    Mobile service provider - Three
Downloaded a 75mb file saw huge speed fluctuations between 50kbs and 2mbs with an average of 100kbs.

Check broadband speed through tethering and speednet stated it was 2mbits but downloads speed doesn't reflect this.

I really want to play on the 25th and i was wondering if i can play through tethering and how much of an impact will it have on lag, latency and has anyone tried to play GW2 with three mobile tethering?

    Thanks

The biggest problem you'll face on wireless is packet loss which could lead to rubber banding etc.

actualy most of the options ing GW2 only have low/medium/high, however if you turn absolutly everything on high/very high where possible that's considered ultra

with very much luck on very very low, my mobile phone has a better graphics card then your pc, the rest of the speccs is fine, with a decent graphics card you would be able to run it on high.

    CPU Type
    AMD A8-3520M 1.6GHz
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
    GPU/VPU
    AMD Radeon HD 6620G

    Will this run

Hey guys, I'm actually really worried about whether or not I will actually be able to run this game.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Phenom II N970 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs) ~2.2 GHz
    4 GBs RAM
    DirectX11
Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250
    It's a Laptop

If this absolutely can not run it, do you guys have any recommended fairly cheap laptops I could get?

should run on high with some options turned down a bit to medium like shadows/sampling

I wouldn't bet on this system beeing able to run it, but if it does it will be very laggy even on very low settings

Depends on your budget, but a laptop is going to be a lot more expensive than a comparable desktop.

this!, if you are not traveling constantly buy a desktop, you will get nearly double your moneys worth. Another option would be to upgrade your laptops graphics card, the other system speccs are fine to run GW2 on medium-high.
