How well will this run?

Windows 7 home premium 64-bit
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU 8300 2.50 GHz
4 GB ram
AMD radeon HD 7850

My friend really wants to buy GW2 (I blame myself), but he has an older PC.

3GB RAM
AMD Dual Core 2.2Ghz
128MB GPU (the issue)

Would he be able to play. I'm hoping someone might of downloaded the beta on an old laptop or something.

I've been able to play it on my 6 year old laptop It's got a 2.2ghz intell processor 2g of ram and a x1600 256mb gpu it runs the game on low with like 20 fps in the open world I wouldn't expect you'd be able to pvp or anything but it should run it.

If you're buying from the Dell Outlet, you can get a i7 laptop quite cheap.

I got the XPS L502X for £550, with an i7 2670QM, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, GT540M, 1366x768 res, 15" laptop, Really good laptops from them, this si my second with no problems what so ever.

Only issue I have at the moment with it, is GW2 is running sluggish on it, on minimum settings I'm barely pulling 20fps in dead zones, which isn't right.

That seems like a pretty big issue... Lol. I am keeping my eye out on the dell outlet.. Want a lappy with a GT555m

Well it's only on GW2, so it's not an issue with my laptop.

Everything is update, so just needs some tweaking on their end or Nvidia's drivers are just bad at the moment.

I first heard of it releasing the 15th and since then I've been reading "tomorrow" almost daily on this forum (no idea where people get it from though!).

I think it was Mif that said that the new drivers are delayed becouse of some game that isnt gw2, im sure someone can confirm this

Yep because they are also doing Borderlands 2 stuff with the drivers (boooo)
