All you will really ever need for Bear info.

Stack AGI. The increased HP pool is not necessary till Heroic Madness, and even then it is questionable. The increased agility will give you more dodge and increased dps on Heroic Warmaster and Spine as cat. Yes you SHOULD go cat on Warmaster, Spine and Ultraxion (at the beginning after last defender goes out), there is no reason not to.

Depends on the setup and raidsize, doesn't it? Ultraxion/Warmaster i don't do cat (10).

Spine... well, if we try there, i hope we get/have a Warrior for the blood, then i could/should/would go cat a little when i don't have ~8k Vengence/bersi up.

Also, if you can get Vial of Shadows, use that thing if you can afford to. For a bear tank on Ultraxion, Heroic Vial ALONE does as much DPS as my PET, as a HUNTER. D:

I raid Heroic 10 and have absolutely no issue on going cat for all three of those fights.

I tank Warmaster first and the other tank taunts off me once the Drake is dead I usually still don't have any stacks or maybe 1 stack of sunder. Swap to cat and go ape shet on his ass till the tank gets 2 sunders than shape shift and taunt from him.

Do you have logs for these fights? Curious to see how it compares to me staying in bear 100%.

You can always check the Incbear website I linked they have logs of both straight bears and katbear.

You can also look at Sunnier from Rocket Surgery on US Whisperwind her dps is pretty high.

    dont stack stam :P

1: u will do less dps than stacking all agil in every situation except bosses without tank swap...even then the dps would be close

2: u will be SUPER SQUISHY without all the agil to give u avoidance
u mentioned that reforge mastery rather than dodge made it hard to heal
stam over agil gems will be much worse

3: (optional) when im not taking any dmg in bear ...like the other tank has taunted off me and i dont have any dots ...i like to swap to cat form and agil does alot for the dps and stam does nothing

4: stam is only really hp and nothing else ...u get to heal 4% every 6 sec when u crit which is nothing in raids
agil gives dodge, atk power, crit ....crit gives a bubble ...all that just from agil, theres not even a option to do anything else :P

agi > stam for dps, there is no doubt

    1 agi = 2 constant ap + crit chance

and 1 stam = 1 ap at max vengeance which needs build up.

I'm doing Hit/Exp>Mastery>Crit>Haste with agi gemming for all heroic bosses, making me able to keep the same reforging in cat and bear. If you want even more bear damage prioritize crit over mastery.

Ever since they "fixed" Vengeance gain, this is not really an issue. Especially in heroics.

thanks for the responses. but for the people talking bearcats u didnt read the op. mor'chak, yor'sacks, warlord, hagra there are no tank swaps on heroics and if ur still swapping tanks on normal your doin it wrong so bearcat isnt possible.

    so bearcat isnt possible.
Only done Mor and Yor Heroic.
Morchok I throw bleeds up quickly during black blood b4 I gtfo. Also jump back in and refresh both as it's ending. Pointless, but I like the DPS.

Yor I wait until it's safe to switch to cat (usually end the phase at high corruption, middling health, and void bolt stacks, so I just stay safe), then work down the boss/mana void with a DPS partner. Switch back to bear early if I'm using FR, but that's rarely an issue.

    Hagara has the ice phases.

Zon I'll grant. Always something to tank.

It doesn't have to be a tank swap fight for bearcat to benefit. Certain fights allow the MT to go bearcat. Yor'sahj during ooze, Hagara ice phases, Madness in between Corruptions and Terrors.

And many raids (25man especially) use 2 tanks on H Yor'sahj.
