Resto druid pvp

Before you all say something in the lines of reroll feral, I'm not going to do that. I really want to play resto druid
in bg's and some social arena play.
Now for the actual question, I'm not really that good at resto druid pvp
(haven't played arena really since s4 on it).
Is there any real difference between using staff or 1h + offhand or is it more like personal preference?

MH + OH is slightly better due to the intellect enchant. However, you can't choose the secondary stat with a one-handed weapon since only crit is available, while you can choose between a spirit and a crit staff.

Resto druids are actually quite good in BGs, they only suck in Arena.
