    Interesting thread.

I could certainly save some money re-reading old books rather than buying a new one every few days ><

Shogun by James Clavell--more than 1000 pages, read it 7 times. I'll read it again LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR SCHLOCK WRITING.

Always read the good books multiple times. I think Henri Charrieres Papillon is on top of my list, must've read it about a 10 times by now.

I have read the Wheel of Time series 4 or 5 times now. Harry Potter series probably 3 times. Most books though I read and forget, so I have read a number of books multiple times.

I don't read many more than once, if I do though I wait a couple years to actually read it again. Admittedly now I just listen to audiobooks a lot more and fall asleep to familiar books, so I've read / listened to Hitchhiker's Guide about 500+ times by now lol.

I have read some of the Malazan Books (average page length >1k) three or four times. Each time there may be a small reference to something i missed beforehand, that;s what i like about expansive worlds.

I've read each Hitchhiker's Guide book (not counting the last couple) at least 15 times. Because why the hell not?

Other books several times. I don't buy books I know are stupid, so they're all worth reading multiple times. Fantasy is probably an exception, I can barely read most of them once.

Some book series that I enjoy. Which is why I can't go get a book from a library!

Any book that is good enough to read once, is good enough to read multiple times. If a book is not good enough, I won't even read it fully even once.

Only some of them like LotR or Hobbit or Dune (that is the greatest works in my opinion). But not these days. Sometimes I am thinking about rereading a book but there are always more on my "to-read" list and other activities distract from reading as well.

I have read plenty of books several times. Conor Kostick’s “Epic”, I have read three times. Became better each time. I have also read the Narnia books several times (don’t think much of them as of today) and the Devil Wars Trilogy by Kenneth Bøgh Andersen, in Danish. Fantastic novels.

Yes a number of years after I've read through them first though.

One of the few benefits of having a horrible memory. I can reread a book just 2 or 3 years later and say 'oh crap, i totally forgot about this part!'...

There's only a few books I've read more than once.

House of Leaves would definitely be at the top of that list - I re-read it nearly once a year, and always catch something new. Probably my favorite book of all time.

Also, Watership Down, some stuff by Kurt Vonnegut, Ender's Game, the Song of Ice and Fire series, and some of my old Dragonlance books(the main two trilogies mostly.)

Only if I'm studying it or if I haven't read it in over a decade.

If a book is really good, then yes, I'll read it more than once. Sometimes it's a bit like films though; I find them hard to forget so when I'm reading it a second time, it all feels too familiar, so I often don't read them a second time, or give it a very long gap before I do.

If it is a new series of books (like Harry Potter or Game of Thrones whenever the 6th one comes out) I will reread the entire series right before the new book is released. Occasionally I will reread a series of books like the Dark Tower (which I should have started reading prior to Wind in the Keyhole but I don't feel like buying them all on my Kindle and reading paper books is sooo 2007). Usually I won't read books again unless it has been a long, long time since I read them like I did with most of the Redwall books last year.

I read books I REALLY like more than once. So most books don't get a re-read, but some get 5 or 6. It's interesting how the same book can give you a little something different at 16 than they did at 12, and at 21 than 16, etc.
