I was trying it out in the beginning and when I saw how the LB timers were off by like a second every time I moved it off my screen lol.
Anyway atm I use CH for ignites, bw, fs, and lb
The background color on combustionhelper are my thresholds. I also have a display/sound trigger for fireball crits and pyro crits on mbst.

I'm guessing the reason you left the blood alive so long was for cleaves and thus the extra spellweave procs?

Yes mainly for the melee. I noticed I could only spread impact from Wing tentacles but not the Arm tentacles though (even though the blood was right underneath). While we were progressing, it was easier for us to not have one up on the 4th platform though.

Progressing this fight atm, any tips or tricks for a humble fire mage? What to prio, when to use/spread combustion. Spamming Flamstrike/Blast wave on the bloods etc. Thanks in advance!

Heya, here's just some things that came to mind: Originally Posted by Huevo
In the first 4 platforms I use Blastwave when the bloods are close to Corruption. If the bloods aren't nearby anything you want to spellweave onto it's somewhat useless damage. After Blastwave, if I have a hotstreak proc I use fireball+hotstreak+living bomb+impact onto a single blood. If I don't have a hotstreak then I hardcast pyro+living bomb+impact off of a blood. I try to time it so LB falls off other targets so I will have 3 fresh LBs applied when I impact off a blood. Each tick of dot will proc a spellweave which will in turn greatly increase your corruption + parasite damage when the bloods are nearby them. I only hardcast pyro onto a blood to impact onto other bloods to proc spellweave from dots (since each tick on each blood will proc a spellweave).
For the 2nd parasite, the bloods should be dragged to it so you can hard AoE with BW, FS, DB, impact ignite and easily top that parasite damage through spellweave.
Wing tentacles you can impact to closeby adds (blood) but not the Arm tentacles.
When the elementium bolt is flying and you can impact onto the Wing/Arm tentacle from it should you have a sweet ignite or want to easily refresh LB to the wing/arm.
This is how I use my combustion..
1. Start of encounter
2. 1st wing/arm during cataclysm
3. 2nd platform, 1st parasite
4. 2nd wing/arm during cataclysm
5. 3rd platform, 1st parasite
6. 3rd platform, cataclysm
7. 4th platform, 1st parasite
8. 4th platform, cataclysm
9. Whenever on the last platform but I try to use it on an elementium terror so it impacts onto the other elementium + deathwing.
The combustion on the 1st parasites can usually be spread to the mutated corruption (or wing/arm tentacle depending on drop off) so I try to impact that if possible.
On the very last platform (DW part) for congealing blood I use hard instant AoE (BW, FS, DB). Lol, I remember on congealing bloods one of the mages tried to spread a crazy strong ignite by casting fireball and did horrible. The point is to do fast aoe to proc as much spellweave since they are up only for seconds. A few times I channeled Blizzard and it did pretty good spellweave damage.
Wing/Arm tentacle is usually my focus target. When DPSing the corruption, I use Living Bomb@focus macro to easily dot both.
