    engineering

    Dear blizz...
is possible to add new and usefull schematic?
Or is the plan to add them in "the mists of Pandaria" (a long time to wait for a new head )
Atm engineering it's really really annoying.

The plan, like before, is to add some stuff for MoP that becomes obsolete (as far as gear, like the goggles, go) by the second content patch.

Basically, unless you want the gadgets and goofy stuff, Engineering isn't all that useful.

What amuses me is that engineers keep coming back everytime with the same problem. And what amuses me even more is I could have possibly be trolled by a level 1 because Blizzard doesn't read these forums.

But in all seriousness no one levels Engineering hoping to make gold from the profession. It is suppose to be a unique profession as in for your pleasure.

but the point could also be made that they neglected to give it the same kind of "LOVE" they gave it in BC; where each content update had an updated schematic or some item of value that could be crafted...both in Wrath and Cata they just simply FAILED to update this profession with each content patch as they'd done back in the day. And sorry, the "one" update we got during Molten front where we could make an overly expensive gun doesn't cut it.

Frankly, its getting old. Each crafting profession should get the ability to make something new each time. Failure to do so is an oversight.

I disagree. Back in BC with my mote extractor, I would make 600 hundred gold/hour just flying around Nagrand. This expac, and mining up Airs, along my Elementium ore....

If you enjoy farming(which I particularly do) Engineering is a where the real gold is at.

I'd love to see some new transmog goodies too. My bloodvine lens are making a lot of success but they can only be used by other rogues or druids that are also engineers. Any chance of letting us make a penny with xmog in MoP, Blizzard?

Except that most of the interesting unique-to-profession things become out of date and pointless to use midway through the expansion, if not earlier. Blacksmithing got 6 new plans in Firelands and 6 in Dragon Soul. Leatherworkers got 8 in each. Tailoring only got 4 in each, but still. Still more than one gun. Why couldn't engineers get a schematic for a Goggle upgrade?

I'd love to see goggle updates each raid patch, Or even just every other. Also, adding ranged weapon schematics to raid trash drops would be pretty cool, as long as they were competitive with the drops in that tier, but not Normal Mode BiS. (idk about you guys, but waiting until DW to get a good ranged weapon, and then waiting for the damn thing to drop? fuck that.)

Though, I guess the tinkers are pretty cool, and really are the only thing that keep raiders in the engineering profession (That, and I LOOOOOOOOVE Jeeves.)

Well if Engineers had goggle's upgrade then Engineers get a very big boost unlike other professions. The goggles are only a way to ease your way during the start of the expansion just like Alchemists get the Alchemy Stone. We don't get 1 every tier in the expansion. Engineers already get their profession bonus through an on use ability.

I never understand why Engineers never understand their own profession. The goggles ain't your +stat bonus, it is only a perk. You get your +stat bonus with your on use ability/device. You'll ain't going to get a free helm. You'll must understand that BS,LW and Tailors ain't guaranteed those patterns unless they are lucky to have it drop for them or it is needed that they invest in them.

On the other hand Engineers basically learn their goggle thingy from their trainer. I and others too would never support it. However, I would very much advocate for a range weapon. Didn't Engineers get a schematic to make a gun or something for Firelands?

Most engineers don't understand how broken and amazing the profession is. That I agree on.

People don't seem to be able to look past "OMG profession X gives 10 more strength, wtf Blizz?!". This is nothing. The comfort (TP, Jeeves) and boundary-breaking abilities (nitro boots, parachute, on-use cds) of engineering are incomparable.

You realize that JC, BS, LW all got new toys with new patches/instances, yet Engi is still sitting on the same kit it had since cata started, right? I mean, I GUESS you can count the hunter enchant as something, too bad it's worthless for everyone else.
    It's called Bloodlust not Heroism.
