How often do you receive post-Arena Match harrassment from the opposing team?

I've been getting cursed out a lot lately via whispers after a lot of my arena matches. Is this normal, or do I just have really horrible luck?

I just play 2s until I get the point cap each week. Never get any hate whispers from level 1s.

Which arena bracket are you playing and what is your comp?

I usually receive most of the harassment when I am running Rogue and Mage in 2's. But one of the most extreme cases was when we beat a Rogue / Mage team. They made a level 1 character on my server to spam that I just ninja looted from Baradin Hold after cursing me out in /whispers.

Happens from time to time. Receiving an unusual amount of compliments recently though, it's shocking, but nice to get. The WoW community is garbage and it's nothing but shit talking and abuse from everyone, so just ignore it or do what I do - read it out loud to my team and laugh about it.

Hah, seeing this thread cracked me up. I was just doing some 2's for fun with my brother, extremely low rated. We were playing frost mage, prot warrior. We fought a double warrior team that just couldn't do anything to us, poor guys. So we trashed them and then they logged on, made a character mimicing my name and harassed me for the next few days on and off.

So sad...

Wasn't getting harrased in arena yet but nowadays in wintergrasp after not letting a horde guy cap the base can yield nice PMs from lvl1 guys about my entire family

Well, it's a dick move to this, IF you do this on purpose to avoid them getting the elder there for the achievement, during lunar festival. And no, there is not a single reason to spam queue wintergrasp. And no, it is not fair pvp, because the siege engines are extremly easy to take down for the defenders, because of their level.

For arenas, I have never been whispered before. But once I whispered the enemy team after a ~30 minute game in 2s. We played Shadow+Sub and they played RShaman+Sub. We thanked them for the very entertaining match. It was really exciting, because both teams had times, when someone was at like 10%. Yes, we were all bad and today I'd be bored in such a match-up, but back then it was hilarious, because we finally outlasted them as double dps team.

well, the elder inside wasn't the reason tbh. Mainly its the 100win achvment I was going for and, respectively, horde people who after the loss logged lvl1s and cried

I once got a very angry whisper from someone while levelling an alt via BGs.

... Unfortunately for him, I had no idea which of the 15 people he was, so I was more baffled than confused. Removed my opportunity to snark back at him, too, as he put me on ignore almost immediately.

Back when I did arenas and even just regular BGs, I got it a lot. So much that I use the addon "SpamMeNot" to block anyone below like.. level 60 (so DKs can't whisper me either). It kinda stinks when someone wants to legitimately whisper me.

The other day I spammed trade /2 WTB 1 ARENA WIN FOR 1,000 GOLD. THE CATCH, THE WIN "MUST" BE THE FIRST ARENA WE Q FOR!

I got a feral to invite me to his team and Q us up. Seems legit so far right? Well, I'm a 5.2k Resil FC Prot War and I just was bored and kinda needed 190 pts to cap. Anyway, the team we went against was a Frost Mage + Disc Priest combo. Needless to say, the Feral got wrecked whereas I dragged it on for roughly 30 minutes before the opposing team finally learned proper coordination to kill me.

I was the one who went to THEIR server only to thank them for the practice as it helped me learn a few tricks for Mages and/or Priests as well (timing of spell reflect, shockwave etc..)

They apparently logged off right after the match, guess they got burnt out.

That honestly sounds more painful for you than the other team.

Its strange cause I get whispers after losing to a team about how bad I am, never really when I beat a team

Happened once. Was doing 2s as a Prot Paladin pre-4.3.2 Vengeance nerf & Hunter, against a Frost DK & Hunter comp I believe. The other team barely squeaked out a win, and the frost DK proceeded to give me an angry tell to me about how I was playing a "GIMMICK SPEC". Why would you complain, you won that game for jeeze sake!
