    DK survivability in PvP

    I just need to vent a litle. With almost 5K resil on, I'm still getting nuked by every other class in the game and DK's maybe besides ehn shamans are the squishiest by far and it is quite infuriating.

    And I am unholy, inb4 frost is bad.

    JUST ARGH!

    Strange, I always destroy other melee's (kiting them ftw) and ranged are the only ones I have problems with from time to time. But you have a few things you can do about them:
    1. Death Grip
    2. Make Pet Attack them
    3. Nuke them with Deathcoil
    4. Use AMS
    5. Use AMZ
    6. Make pet stun them and run to them

    Wow I have no such problems, I have recently gotten my DK to 85 and acquired most of my Season 11 Honor PvP set standing at 3.9k and recently played a game in Blood finding my self a total god! I was indestructible and when a guild healer popped up well... I do normally play in frost and even then when im a wee bit low on health I Death Strike and get a bit of that back!

    The only thing I can think of, if you're in a BG, is that a healer was not around you. You should be able to take on other classes fairly well, but don't rely just on 5k resil; make sure you're using cooldowns as well. Interrupts, DG, AMS, IBF, even death strike if you're finding yourself about to die.

    DKs need more of a passive damage reducer. In 3s my dk partner has died from 100% in a 5 second hoj on the healer. He has 5054 resil and was in blood presence. Just to note. IBF was up also. Something similar to frost armor for mages.

    In the beginning of cata DKs had death strike that healed them for 15% of hp, it was crazy survivability. It was nerfed ofc, but I still don't think you really need more survivability when you got awesome damage.

    I... I don't understand... Are you playing Blood in PVP? Just death strike more. You get a shield on demand. Plus, you get like... 6 survivability cool downs, both inherent and on use. If you're doing anything else, of course you're going to die.

    I think Blizzard is terrible at balancing things like that healing. Often they just remove it completely without addressing why it existed to begin with. This happens to pretty much all classes.

    This is NOT a troll. Anyone saying they don't have problems surviving melee arn't above 1800. Any smart/decent team WILL molest you.

    Not saying that DKs are underpowered but I do believe that Frost/UH Deathknights are two of the squishiest pvp specs in WoW. Our damage/utility/gap closers are good IMO but even at ~5k resilience I find my hp goes down faster than any other classes that I play. I believe that Blizzard overnerfed Death Strike for non Bloods. It was overpowered at the start of Cata but instead of nerfing it gradually till they find a sweet spot, they overnerfed it till it's not worth using most of the time.

    ffs what's with all the random noobs talking about blood or how awesome they are in random battlegrounds? lol..

    Problem is, is not only do we have limited defensive CDs, we have no way to escape.. ever.. you're not alone, any train with melee is just ridiculous without a HARD peel, as has been ever since they removed glyph of the dark succor.

    This is about arena and not a tanking spec. If you look at the ladders the number of dks above 2.2 is abysmal. Now look at the number over 2.4...

    They took away dark succor glyph because of warriors. They were such a direct counter that we needed it. Once they were nerfed they said we didn't. So now we are countered by rogue Druid warrior enhance sham warlock hunter instead. Really makes no sense. We either need the glyph back or bone shield

    I think rogues are also squishy.
    Dumbest thing about DKs is that they don't have protection against disarms, in my opinion Unholy and Frost specs should have it.

    Um, yes they do. They give up a Runeforge for it, but other melee classes give up a weapon enchant for it too. What's the difference?

    Difference -
    1) Runeforge is far betetr than Enchanting
    2) Rogues DW so they lose one
    3) Other melee, what other melee? Other have disarm protection as talent or in PvP set. Well not sure about Ench Shaman

    Of course in MoP talents are gone, I think only class which deserves disarm protection is warrior and they should have it as PvP set bonus. Others should use chain. But i also think that disarm should be reduced to 8 seconds with 1min dimishing.

    Honestly, think about it. Give glyph back. Now a DK cant be offensive as he has to burn runes to DS in the first place, maybe even blow a big CD like ERW to do so just to live. Or, you can silence, disarm him. Maybe give a little strat or setting up to killing a dk instead LOLOLOL TUNNEL

    please don't post again because you are either just a flat out dk hater or just a below average pvper. If you knew anything about pvp you would know those classes don't suffer any damage hits when using those enchants, dk's on the other hand, survivability is so low they have to go with FC because there is no point to gimp yourself even further going with an awful rune enchant.
