Epic pet moments

Tell me about some of the epic or fun moments you had with your pet!

As a BM hunter in PvP i stack full mastery, it's simply amazing what i can do with my pet sometime! My best PvP moment with my pet was when i was doing some arena with my friend. It was a 2vs2 match. My friend died first but i managed to kill to opposing shaman. I was now alone versus a warrior with almost all his health and i was just under 30%. Scatter Shot, Disengage and then Shadowmeld in a corner (i'm a night elf). And then my pet proceeded to solo him. The warrior was looking around everywhere trying to find me while my pet was tearing him apart. It took him over a minute but my pet did get the killing blow. (the warrior had about 135k hp and from his gear he had about 4k resil. That happened last season)

Otherwise while i was doing icc10 in wotlk. Both of the tanks died on Lord Marrowgar, i sent my tanking pet, taunted boss, druid rezzed one of the tank, and we were able to achieve the kill with my pet off-tanking. Group wasn't great and disbanded after lootship, but it was still one of my most epic moment!

So, now i'm anxious to hear YOUR epic pet tales!

When we were doing progression on BWD/BoT we were working on Cho'gall.

Got him to 5% no issues, but then everyone started dieing, Tank took a big hit and died, cho'gall then proceeded to backhand all the melee into oblivion before moving onto the healers.

All thats left is me, my pet and a spriest. He turns on the s-priest and I disengage to open some space and FD+stand back up just as the priest gets crunched under foot.

My pet tanked chogall for an abnormally long time (so more than 1 second :P ) but I was out of CD's, Chimaera was on CD I had no focus and Chogall was on <100khp.

My pet tanked Chogall just long enough so that when Chimaera came off cooldown while i was backpedalling trying to keep some distance that Chogall was just outside minimum range and it finished him off.

To this day my pet is still hailed as a god within guild.

Haha that's awesome. Reminds me of Mionelol who soloed Atramades as a hunter.

Hunters can be pretty epic!

BTW what was your pet?

Most epic pet moment for me don't involve my own pet, but killing BM hunters' pets, then repeatedly one-shot the pets as they are rezzed due to the 6k hp pet scaling bug.

Using eyes of the beast to finish off players who have just lost to a duel.

It's evil and you can't do it anymore, but it was so funny.

Murmur is in Shadow Lab, not Kara.

I remember the start of Cataclysm...

Every day I would have a fail tank in PvP gear, green gear and cheated the iLvL, or DPS gear and couldn't tank the Heroic Dungeons over and over. It got to a point where I would just summon out my bear in Marksmanship spec and let it tank. It was so great on Ozruk because my bear didn't have to run away from the instant death Ground slam. Healers really liked me for doing it!

I miss those days...

Back in BC and we were attempting GL for the first time. We were sitting there on HKM and listening to the raid leader lay out the strat. I switched aspects and my cat decided that was his cue, so off he went and the conversation went something like this.
Raid leader" so does everyone know what.... HEY what is Cheetoh doing? OH SHIIIIIIII EVERYBODY RUN !!!!!!111111

it was very epic and Cheetoh still has somewhat of a celebrity status on the server.

Me and my pet (that alien from bc) in halaar :> 1 shadow priest and 3 locks -> 2 locks atk me - bw -> 2 down the priest followed me - i jumped in a bush and kited him ->
around that tree try to make some space... omg 40% life omg omg pet nuked him while his wl friend just landed from his "Bombardement" i waited in thee bush lettin my pet doing his work while healin' it :> aaannnd win! oh in naxx(warth) my ghostcat was doing the same dps like a mage in our grp :> he was like a raidmember xD

I vote the "Eyes of the Beast" method of killing people. Getting ontop of Orgrimmars roof as Alliance, send your pet into the city / outside and cause chaos. Man, I miss that sooooo much

I once had my felguard start attacking an alliance player who decided to kill my escort mob in Nagrand, didn't flag me as pvp enabled for some reason. Was amusing watching him maul an alliance player to death that couldn't do anything back.

I didnt have a hunter at the time but my all time favorite pet moment was back in vanilla. It was a guild group doing UBRS. One of our hunters was an awesome dude and had just tamed a new lion he was all proud of. Now this was when you actually had to care about pet 'happiness' and be constantly feeding them, etc. Well it seemed he kind of neglected that because about 2 pulls before Drakk, mid-fight the damn thing took off like a shot, never to be seen again. I spit my drink on my keyboard and vent didnt clear for 10 mins....

Back in WotLK, I set myself as at war with the Sons of Hodir so I could tame one of the giant wolves. After taming it, I dismissed it and did wintergrasp with a different pet. When I then summoned him back, my pet spawned gigantic, probably the size of Archavon himself. Was awesome watching my wolf bite at an enemy's neck for once, instead of this ankles. This happens sometimes now but he shrinks down almost instantly after spawn.

This isn't as epic as it is embarrassing. I apologize because I definitely added to the "huntard" stereotype. I believe it was in The old kingdom or Azjol-Nerub, I forget the specifics but basically, we jumped and the pet didn't follow and it ran around pulling 4 groups of mobs killing my entire group, but I feigned death.....So it was rather embarrassing to be the only one left alive, when it was my fault in the beginning.
