Hey all, I've been having these issues for a long time now with my current laptop. When I run my laptop plugged into the wall or not plugged in, it will randomly lock up and freeze. Sometimes it will just freeze and other times it will scramble the screen up a little a bit. I know it's not an overheating issue because I am using a pretty good cooling pad and the laptop is cool to the touch.

Now the confusing part, when I plug the laptop into my monitor and run both screens at the same time, I don't have this issue, ever. So what could be the cause of this issue and more importantly, how could I fix this?
