My opinion in case people misses that lol.

She should die, and a awesome villain leads them, preferably a male undead please.
Like that villain who throw those toxic bombs at the horde + alliance army when they were breaching his gate (the Wrath Gate)

    ---------- Post added 2012-02-12 at 01:20 PM ----------

Sooner or later sylvanas will turn into a Lich King if she's free abusing valkyrs powers and raising a huge army.

Something must be done and kill those valkyrs or better yet. Kill sylvanas and the valkyrs.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But havnt the trolls and Vol'Jin been suspicious of the Forsaken since day 1 and even tried to make Thrall reconsider the Forsakens membership in the Horde?

Shit character, would enjoy being able to kill her off myself in-game permanantly.

First of all, despite not having read the book, I can tell that the paragraphs you're quoting are taken out of context. As far as I know, 3 pages later she says "Nevermind. Everything's cool, I was just on the rag. I'll help everyone and give cute kitties to the whole world." So, I mean. It's not much basis to go on.

Second of all, Sylvanas has been dead for quite a long time.

Third of all, whether a ruler should be deposed in any fashion at all, should be left up to the people they rule. If they can't do it themselves, maybe help them get rid of a leader. If they're find with their leader and you kill that leader, you're just at best an invader and at worst an assassin. The forsaken seem fine with her. Maybe that's because they're all in thrall to her undead powers or whatever, but in that case, isn't it better to let the person with power over a stack of zombies continue to lead those zombies, instead of maybe, I dunno, unleashing an undead scourge across the land?

I thought we already covered this in Wrath.

Also, Garrosh can go die in a fire. While he was chilling in outlands fighting burning legion peons, Sylvanas was being murdered, enslaved, breaking free of her enslavement, and being instrumental in defeating the evil that, until Deathwing's return, wrought more destruction upon the face of the planet than any other. He's fine as the leader of the orcs, but exactly what interest in the rest of the Horde has he had? He's just bullied everyone into doing what he wants, because he knows they'd either rather not fight him (Tauren) or are too busy with other things (rebuilding their homeland in the case of the rest of the horde races, or building a new one in one case) to waste resources on making him quit it. Sylvanas in particular has been a faithful member of the horde for something like 15-20 years if I remember correctly, so I trust her more than some Outlands outsider anyway. Which one of them murdered a loyal horde leader, again?

Sylvanas for warchief, as far as I'm concerned.

Thinking a bit further on this. I think a reasonable plotline would be that at one point in the future Sylvanas just disappears, along with her most loyal followers.

Then a whole lot later we'll find out she killed off Bolvar and took his place as the new Lich Queen instead.

I could definitely see Genn striking her down... though knowing Blizzard, they'd likely have her cut off his arm or mortally wound him in the process.
Since she wasn't allowed to kill Arthas I would say Genn shouldn't be allowed to kill her, since she suffered far more uunder Arthas than the things Sylvanas did to Genn. Not to mention Justice is just as subjective as moral^^

    Ot.

She shouldn't die, she is all that stands between the forsaken and extinction. Without her there won't be any Val'kyr, since those are bound to her, which means the Forsaken population will slowly dwindle. She is the embodiment of the forsakenm, selfish, cruel, backstabbing, dark humor, pragmatism etc. there is no other forsaken, who could possibly replace her. As long as her power is somewhat limited and someone is above and controlls her actions, she can stay alive, otherwise she has to be be put down, so the rest of the world can sleep at night.

Considering her character as a whole, it's more likely that she'd just march into Northrend and kill Bolvar and the rest of the scourge, or at least try to. Her hatred for the Scourge is the motivating factor for her indifference towards her own people, if they can even be called that. I mean, all they have in common is that they all came back from the dead. The Ebon Blade are also mostly dead, and they aren't affiliated with her "people", so....it's a pretty loose association to begin with.

The Forsaken is basically the people of Lordaeron that came back from the dead. Sylvanas ended up in charge because nobody else could prevent them from either dying or just being another Scourge.

The whole "race" wants the scourge dead, anyway. Some of them are a bit more zealous, "Death to the living" and all that, but well. Doesn't the entire alliance think basically the entire horde should just fall in the ocean and die? What's the difference?

Probably been pointed out but in that same story towards the end she comes to love the Forsaken and begins to have feelings for them other than endless soldiers to throw at a cause. This can also be seen from her interactions with Garrosh during the Shattering.

She needs to remain leader of the Forsaken. A Warcraft without Sylvanas is a Warcraft I dont want to be apart of.

Too early to kill off Sylvannas yet, more can still be done with her. Could eventually exile her though.

She doesn't use them as arrows anymore, they have been promoted to her personal meatshields.

    Other.

Lore'themar should be the one to off Sylvanas. That'll teach her expatriated arse to lean on her former homeland with extortionist schemes.

He should epically betray her during a "summit" at a key moment when Stormwind finally presses its inevitable assault on the Plaguelands, then order his Blood Knights to raze Tranquilien to cover it up. Undercity would fall and become Alliance territory, with the "survivors" routed through Silverpine and Gilneas before fleeing to Northrend.

Forsaken characters will henceforth start in an instanced version of Icecrown. Bolvar Fordragon will be the new leader.

Not sure if Blizz would ever do anything that bold in WoW, though. Might have to wait for WC4.

People who defend Sylvanas as being "misunderstood" make me laugh very, very hard.

On topic, I don't care who kills the incompetent, evil, airhead - I just want her to die.

Well she is the only "likeable" character, who fills the niche of the darker spectrum. While there a dozens of Heroes around, who are just so shiny and can basicially can do no wrong.

What makes her so likeable that she's worth keeping? As far as I know, Arthas was a very popular villain and they had no problems killing him off.

Honestly, I hate no character more. She's so fucking arrogant for someone who fucks up every other day.

Oops, caused my nation to be destroyed by taunting Arthas.

Oops, could have killed Arthas but chose to gloat instead.

Oops, betrayed Garithos and made the humans hate us.

Oops, trusted a Dreadlord (really, how fucking stupid is she?) and he kill many of my people and took my city.

Oops, my incompetence caused a war between the Alliance and Horde when we're trying to kill the Lich King.

From a lore perspective, there's more than enough reasons why she should die. She has made more than enough enemies and done so many horrible things. I don't think she will die - because simply she's a player favourite. It would be interesting if her story could continue without being horribly generic "I'm evil, kill everything".

You actually hate fictional characters ? o_0

And yes she is the only faction leader, who does unquestionable evil things and gets away with it.
She messes up because she does more than the common faction Leader, take Magni for example he did only one thing and now he is a statue and his daughter brought trouble to Ironforge.

The living Sylvanas was a good person and Quel'thalas would have been destroyed regardless even if she did not taunt him, after all
Arthas knew all their defences if he hadn't know the scourge wouldn't have been able to defeat Quel'thalas, it was after the most powerful Kingdom in Lor'daeron.

Yeah she could have given him a swift death, yet she wanted him to suffer as much as she did.

Garithos and his men ah yes she could have spared them, but knowing Garithos it would have been a great mistake. So her killing him and his men was not a really bad move, nor was it a real good one.

Yes trusting a dreadlord really was a very very very stupid move, but mentally unstable people tend to do some crazy stuff.

The war would have happened anyway, they did sign a treaty afterwards though, which was broken again by Hellscream as he invaded Ashenvale.

If it would mean we could back WC3 Kael I would sacrifice her in a heartbeat, but as it is right now killing her would make the world of Warcraft universe even more shinier, and it is already so god damn bright ^^

She might be an irredeemable super-bitch, but she represents her race pretty well in that sense. I say knock her down a few pegs, change her outlook a little, and leave her be. I doubt the Forsaken are going to magically become nicer people with her gone, nor will they lose any of their post-Cata gains with Blizzard adverse to touching the old world again.

I don't see what her death would really accomplish, other than disjoint the world further.
