    Reforging for Madness HC 25

    Hi there,

    in short: we start to progress Madness HC 25 this evening, and i would like to know how to reforge properly (arms) for this fight. As i assume, it would be optimal to use a high mastery setup due to spellweave (how does this "buff" work in detail, didn't find something accurate). Second, is Blood&Thunder worthwile?
    Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

    Blood and thunder for heroic madness is pretty much required, aoe/spellweave is a big part of the fight. However, you don't need to glyph bladestorm, (use slam glyph) as it will be ready to use again for each pack of bloods that spawn. On the subject of mastery though....I don't think you should sacrifice crit for mastery, regardless of spellweave. I have 16 points of mastery while prioritizing crit, which is enough....crit is still better.

    Make sure to abuse spellweave to kill the parasites faster (bloods tanked on top of parasite, spread rend, bladestorm etc)

    Also, parasite should be dropped near the mutated corruption so you can sweeping strikes off of it to kill the corruption faster for less crushes/chance of tank dying etc, the corrupton has a huge hitbox so even if it looks like your SS won't reach it, it probably will.

    phase 2 bloods: leap in spread dots bladestorm win!

    I can't really explain in "detail" how spellweave works, I just know it destroys shit and I love it. More aoe/multi dot = more spellweave. Even if your guild leaves bloods alive for a bit so they can be killed on top of a parasite or taken to another platform, you should keep rend up at all times just to pad meters with spellweave =)

    Blood and Thunder is an amazing talent for this fight.

    Also, the mutated corruption and all of deathwing cannot dodge or parry, so you can safely reforge out of expertise (Unless you're having trouble with P2 and the Terrors, not that it matters as much as all the P1 creatures, since Terrors should go down relatively quickly).

    Blistering tentacles can't dodge or parry either, nor elementium fragments.

    And since you won't be hitting bloods with anything but AoE, it's not necesary with expertise for them either.

    As the guy above me said, it's not worth it going for mastery-heavy reforging, since crit is still better.

    Thanks for your tips, our first approach wasn't too bad, although we didn't make it to P2, we had several tries wiping on the last platform, mostly due to not having enough DPS on the parasite.

    One more question came up: Spellweaving! This ability hits for ~ 21.000 dmg, every time when i do dmg, by rend or direct damage, is this correct? As such, when we gathered all Regenerative Bloods on the Corruption, Thunder Clap (and also Whirlwind) would have highest priority as it hits every Blood and such does 6x (or 8x, don't know how many Blood they are) the arcane AOE dmg to the Corruption, thus being much better than any Single Target strike (as MS, OP, CS...). Also, if we have at least 1 Blood near the Corruption, i should use Cleave instead of HS (hits both the blood and the Corruption, and i get at least 2x the arcane dmg out of it).

    Any flaws in my calculation?

    I guess you are looking for arms advice, but regarding Expertise Sinner mentioned on another topic to maintain 26Exp, but not sure if anything changes for heroic?
