[Balance] Help Reaching Haste Breakpoint

Hi everyone.

Here is my current gear: (Can't post my link because it's my first post . I'm the only Aboxofwine though .)

I currently have 2981 haste, which means i need to squeeze 120 more haste out of my gear in order to reach the 3101 haste breakpoint for the extra tick of moonfire/sunfire.

My group has no warlocks, so getting dark intent is impossible.
Obviously, getting a new weapon like Lightning Rod would instantly solve this problem; however, of the 11 kills we have over her we have had not one Lightning Rod drop. Even when it does, it will go directly to our fire mage out of fairness because he is still using a 378.

I can't see how replacing some of my gems will help because I will be sacrificing way too much intellect. The same for my trinkets, replacing any of them with something such as Bottles Wishes is just a huge static intellect loss.

If anyone has any suggestions for me it would be a great help!

To be honest, I'm not sure you can hit that next breakpoint without getting a new staff...
Other than Lightning Rod, another solid haste upgrade would be the Runestaff of Nordrassil (2nd staff from the FL legendary chain). I only mention this because you have heroic Funeral Pyre, but if you guys are done with FL - or getting someone else in the raid the legendary - then this really isn't an option. Hopefully in the time it would take you to complete this part of the chain, Hagara will be generous to your raid twice >_<
Otherwise, you've already maximized haste on your tier gear (resto chest FTW), so... good luck with drops

Agreed. Only by changing weapon (or getting HC gear obviously :P ) would it be possible without losing 120 Intel. You can always Wrathcalc it and see if it's worth it, but personally I wouldn't do it by gems.

The only way I can see you reach the break point (with the gear you have now) is to get 50haste gems in two yellow sockets and change your bracer enchant to 65haste. That way you will get 125haste for 90 intellect. Just by looking at it I would say it in most situations is an improvement to get the break point, but it is hard to estimate.

Just as an FYI, it is 3102 due to the way the game rounds, not 3101.

u can always use DMCV over your normal VLPC and reach ur haste breakpoint ))

Thank you for the suggestions everyone. So what i ended up doing as a little experiment was sacrifice 120 int for 120 haste via gems to reach the break point. Now at first I thought it wasn't exactly the smartest thing to do, but it ended up being a minor DPS increase. However, I'm still not happy with it. It doesn't feel right with me losing that much intellect. I may or may not switch back.

Gear is the way, haven't seen your armory yet bu changing from a 384 ilvled gear without haste to a 378 one with haste might solve some problems if you got something with either crit or mastery on. Can't see how this would give you over a 100 haste though, but it might work if you're a little closer.

mastery is better on the last 3 fights so i wouldnt even worry about it.
