XBOX 360 disc drive is acting up...

Well, this isn't just happening to me...found out it was happening to my friend too.
Basically, we eject the disk, the power button flashes for about 5-10 seconds, then the disc drive closes, and gets stuck.
We then have to move our xboxs around and try to get the drive to open.
Anyone else having this problem? Although a solution or explanation would be nice.

Mine keeps opening, everytime I try to close it. When it stays closed it wont read discs, which upsets me

Had so many problems with xbox's, all to do with the disc drives too. Bought myself a decent pc and gave up!

better so send things in than try to fix urself if no one knows wat to do (Captain obvious awayyyyyyy)

If its a new model Xbox look for a local repair shop, they pull the drives and replace them with working ones all the time, i have one locally that does it for 50 bucks.
