Even if you got permanently, you could still call them up and appeal, and unless you've done really really bad and deserved the ban, they could still consider to unban you.

To answer your question, i probably would buy all of it again, simply cuz i'd be missing out on my RL friends who i raid with

If my RL friends played WoW, then that would be the only reason I would willingly re-buy all of the expansions again.

    Nope.

I finished Cataclysm (8/8 HC) and I barely play anymore. If I would get banned I would quit WoW. Spent too much time on my main to start from zero again.
I can see what you see not - vision milky then eyes rot. When you turn, they will be gone - whispering their hidden song...

Losing all the hard work and effort I put into my characters I don't think I would bother picking wow up again.

  5. #205
I'd probably just stop playing because I wouldn't want to drop all the money on the game again. But if I got the urge in the future I may start again, and I'm assuming the price of the previous expansions will continue to drop.

I would lament for three days then start from scratch to be ready for the next raid.

No, it doesn't hold the value it once did to me, and the only reason I continue to pay to play is because (in my opinion) there isn't a game out there to rival it. That being said, if my account were banned (I've never had any infractions, so this wouldn't actually apply to me) for some mystical reason, I wouldn't appeal it, nor would I buy the games again. It's just not worth the money anymore.

Basically, I play it at my convenience, but I don't invest much in it anymore. This comes from someone with 5 85's, who has played since 2005.

as easy as it would be to start over from scratch, NO! WoW is much too expensive for me to go and get a second account just to continue playing. I would try very hard to make sure there is no way to get my account un banned, but if I can't, as the phrase goes"I'll be heading for greener pastures"

I have so much time investment in my main and some of my alts too. I don't think I would like to spend time and lose certain achievements that are "once in a wow-time".

In conclusion: No, the cost would be too much for me (i would like to go straight to 85/90). I also have certain achievements that I adore having because of how long they say i've been here

Hell no. Losing 7 years of progress across my characters and spending like 100+ euros to get back in and start from zero again is not appealing to me. I would like to stress the point that this decision doesn't have anything to do with the state of the game though. From an objective point of view, WoW is still a very good game but I'm simply mighty tired of it. If I would get permabanned (which is extremely unlikely, but for the sake of discussion we say I do get banned) I would see it as my queue to move on with my gamer life. I might be a bit biased though, I'm pretty much ready to retire my WoW career as it is so I wouldn't be that sad if I got permanently suspended. Just because I hate the doomsayers so much I just have to stress that it has nothing to do with WoW supposedly turning to shit, I actually think MoP looks good. It's just that I'm done with this game, 7 years is more than enough for my moneys worth and with GW2 and Diablo3 lurking around the corner I'm just ready to move on.
The horde could build dragonmaw port in 2 minutes but still haven't finished the orgrimmar front gate since 4.0 launched. o_O

    With no chance for unbanning?
I would quit for sure. Its not about monry at all, its about time i spent playing on my main. All the achievements, mounts, pets, titles...

I can't even imagine what the ground for a permanent ban would be...

I don't think I ever have to worry about it, but if I did get perma-banned... I don't think I'd start over, no.

    Hell to the no, sir.

I've put WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much time into my characters. Starting over would be more insane than my Insane in the Membrane achievement.

  13. #213
Nope, not really motivated at the moment to even pay the $15/mo and put time into it.

Been banned 2 times for selling gold and I keep coming back. Its just too much easy money to be made. And it only takes like 10 days to be back to 85 and thats if you are slacking. As long as there are lazy bads who cant even earn enough gold to buy normal flying but have daddy's VISA I will keep farming and selling gold. I mean what else are you supposed to do with gold once you hit 400,000+ anyways and are still making 15-20k a night? Id rather have money to pay bills than be sitting on a worthless pile of pixel gold.
