If you don't download ever single possible add-on you'll ever need when you first discover add-ons, then your UI won't look as much like a cluttered mess.

A friend of mine used to have a UI like that when we were raiding t5. No idea how he managed to play so well on fights like Vashj lol.

I just can't understand people who have multiple sets of raid frames. Grissym's pic is crazy, I see 3 different sets of raid frames, and the player is a boomkin, not even healing. WHY?!?!? I love that he gets 7 fps with all that going on too :P
Anyone that has massive black boxes at the bottom of their screen just because they can. That and anyone with massive frames because they have high resolution.
everything that has half their ui covered with Kgpanels crap. also spartan ui. horrible

I use to considere bad uis both overcrowded ones and their oposites... Extremes are bad, imo.
The use of an specific addon (like xperl) doesn't make an ui "bad", but the lack of work configurating the addon itself . Using the xperl example, too many people use it "as it comes" or only disabling a few modules, but you can work with it to make an enjoyable ui experience. The same goes for people using "premade" ui addons, like tukui.
Just my 5 cents.
