Sooooooo technically I'm not allowed to let you in, because you didn't put your name down on the SS. I've always been very adamant, no matter who is posting, but because of your very... high level of uniqueness because so few have 3440x1440 monitors and thus screenshots, I'm pondering letting it pass.

Also, thinking of being a little less strict in the future, anyways. You obviously put forth some effort, I suppose just a simple screenshot of like the same thing, no need to run any tests, just maybe open Valley and all the programs like that would work?

Regarding how *I* think the leaderboard should work though.. Definitely don't remove all tests, since we have to prove stability somehow. But maaybe Heaven (old) and 3d Mark 11 (ancient ) can be let go?

Pshhh... I am the one who necro'd it! I just haven't had enough time to finish finding the stable RAM clock on my 970. I also need to post my 5820k speeds as well!

Any of you folks have any experience overclocking an evga gtx 770 sc ? I've been trying evga precision, but I cannot get it stable at pretty much any level of OC whatsoever. Every guide/video I've seen is able to get a pretty decent performance boost out of it, but I can't get a damn thing without my games freezing up and/or my entire video display wonking out.

And you've tweaked everything? Voltage as well as clock speeds?

Because I have the eVGA 760 SC, basically a cut down version of yours and I was able to OC it a bit, no issue.

Yeah I tried everything - matching exactly the specs the videos/guides uses (including voltage), trying half exactly the increases they all used, all the way down to barely any increases at all - anything over stock is not stable.

I've found a couple forum posts in various places by some people saying they had the same issue. Only potential fix I've seen people talking about is updating the bios, but I've been leery to try because I can't seem to find the exact exact model number for my card. There seem to be a few different kinds of evga 770 sc cards with 2 or 3 different bios between the few of them.

Well... you aren't exactly supposed to be able to overclock CPUs/GPUs, or shouldn't expect anything major.

But if you can't at all, that might be a defect of some sort, I'm not sure. I'd contact eVGA CS.

Yeah, even on the guides I saw they only reported like maybe a 5 fps or so increase on some games (which I think of as significant).

Finally got in touch with a computer-savvy buddy of mine, told me to check to see if my bios settings might have video card locked into current settings. Will try that when i get home

I don't recall motherboard BIOSes having any control over the GPU in that regard, if he was insinuating that, but updating the BIOS on your GPU might do the trick.

I suggest at least posting on the eVGA forums, it won't hurt just like this didn't. Plus you'll get an eVGA tech support person who knows more about such issues than I!

It's all good, not too worried about it. Overclocking it isn't going to let me supersample and maintain 60+fps in raids anyway, so i'll probably just stick with msaa x8. Really it's just a vanity thing, lol, I just want to be able to continue to say I run at "max settings" at 60+fps :P

Honestly no one can in raids, anyone who says they can is lying. :P Also, raiding is more taxing on your CPU, anyways. ^_^ Plus you can overclock your CPU to a far heavier degree than GPUs, thus getting a much larger performance boost in that regard!

4790k, oc'd to 4.6ghz.

(mobo is asus z97-a, ram is 8gig (2x 4gig) gskills ripjaws or whatever @ 1866, ssd i don't remember the brand/model of off top of my head)
