    Heroic DS Raid Extension

We downed H Spine tonight and we decided to extend the raid lockout for madness, I'm collecting gem clusters for the legendary daggers and I'd like to clear normal up to Madness tomorrow. My question is, would i be able to participate in the Madness pulls. thanks!

I hope so, because we are doing the same thing with our rogue this week!

YYou need an existing raider to hold onto your heroic Madness ID. After you are certain you have someone holding the Instance, you can do everything else on normal. Make sure you don't screw up heroic/normal toggle though. 1 mistake and you'll screw the entire week

Have one person extend it, and bring an alt for a quick normal clear (9 mains, 1 alt, should be over in like an hour).

And as David0925 said, dont even try to toggle between heroic and normal, that will screw you over afaik (dont need to actually kill a boss on heroic, as soon as you change it it will save)

As far as I know if you did not kill heroic spine, madness heroic will be not accessible for you.

Please, post here how it worked out for your particular case.

Only the raid leader has to have killed heroic Spine. The rest of the raid will get saved to his ID as long as they haven't killed any other heroic bosses.

What happens is that Raid leader will extend HES raid lockout from Spine. Then the server resets and everyone els get a fresh raid ID.

Then you clear 7/8 on normal and stop, and when you'r going to raid then you got same boss kills as the leader and just joins hes lockout.
Just dont defeat any bosses on heroic since you can only clear heroics on same ID.

Just make sure the one with the lockout is the raid leader otherwise the other 24 of you will get locked to a fresh heroic Madness instance and the one with the prior lockout will get ported out of the instance.

This happened to us the week of our Spine kill (we had one 25 heroic and one 25 normal which joined at Spine) and we had to bring some last minute alts just to fill our raid.

Sorry this isn't directly related to lockout extension but is it possible to, for example, kill Morchok, Yor'sahj, and Zon'ozz on 10H, then switch it to normal to do the Hagara achievement, then switch back to heroic to defeat her and the rest of the instance?

You can't kill a boss on normal and then kill that same boss on heroic in the same week. If you did what you described then after killing Hagara on normal you'd be able to switch it to Ultraxion on heroic but Hagara would be dead.

Well the Hagara achievement does not require defeating her so I was just curious if you can swap to normal, do the achievement, then swap back to heroic to actually kill her and the rest of the bosses.

Ah, you're right - I never noticed that. In that case it shouldn't matter. Its only what difficulty the boss is on when it is dead that counts for your lockout. So yes, you could switch it to normal, do the achievement and wipe, then flip it back for the kill.
