Good idea or bad idea for WoW?

Good idea or bad idea for WoW?

Right so we all miss the following stuff:

Now the order has nothing to do with this its RNG

    1: Vanilla
    2: World PvP
3: Old raid continent, Legendarys and old PvP Items
    4: The Burning Crusade
    5: Warglaives
    6: Arenas at its best

......This list can go on and on and on and on and on....

My idea was (This might have been posted before but i dont know, lets see)

My idea was that when MoP comes out and the cap will be 90, Do we know for sure that this will be the end of levleling or will Blizzard just add a patch that opens so you can level a few more levels?

The idea is: When MoP hits and ends (continent cleared) What if Blizzard made new servers:
Vanilla, Back to patch 1.2 (ONLY OLD CONTINENT NO NEW TBC WOTLK OR CATA STUFF)
TBC servers, No wotlk and cata stuff
Wotlk same as the 2 others.

This will mean that Blizzard might need new servers witch in the meaning means they need to pay for it...

But what if we...The players payd a small fee to be able to play the old continent? Meaning you have to pay to get access to Vanilla servers, Tbc and wotlk.

Sorry for abit bad spelling, i got shaky hands.

What do YOU think about this?

Not to be a negative nancy, but has anybody else noticed every single time old-world servers are brought up that the OP always thinks that he/she is the first person to ever conceive this idea? Blizzard has outright said that this will never happen. Never ever. Take off your nostalgia glasses and realize that the game today is MILES ahead of what it was in vanilla/tbc/wotlk. You may remember those times as the best you ever had in wow but I promise you no amount of "reliving your glory days" will bring those feelings back. The game was newer to you back then and nothing Blizzard can ever do will recreate those moments we all had when we were 'younger' in our wow days.

Thats why i said when MoP is out and we are done with the expansions, Why not bring the glory back? I mean does blizzard have a clue of how much they actually can earn from this?

They'd earn a lot of lost maintenance money, probably.
Shut the hell up about EA. Shut the hell up about Activision. Shut the hell up about pandas. Shut the hell up about the ME3 ending. Shut the hell up about DLC.

Yes, probably not enough to make it viable.

    And what glory?
You know that you will NEVER get any new content. At all.
You know that there will NEVER be a balance patch. (Hint stuff wasn't balanced AT ALL in Vanilla).
You know that the bug that appears everytime you do something, will NEVER be fixed.

I love how people that makes these threads seem to think all of us miss it.

Face it, you might not be the only one missing those old "glory days", but you are in no way speaking for everyone. So can you please stop talking for all of us? Thank you

    This... Again...

Everyone will try it for a week and then not bother cause it blows.

Because it is you who is interested in such a thing, not Blizzard. While you (and by "you" I mean all those who want vanilla servers) want to reminiscence past Blizzard sees glory in the future.

And I'm sure that Blizzard is perfectly aware of pros and cons of that move. And I bet they don't see it as you do. Probably for them it's like making exceptional effort to please a minority. While that minority makes great noise (because they speak while those against are rather silent) it's still a minority.

Blizzard isn't interested in pleasing minority for such a small gain. For vanilla servers they need to not only create servers, they need to provide hardware, staff, time and money. They need to do it only to reanimate dead corpse.

Instead they want to focus on telling the story further. Provide new horizons. Make new things. Sorry for comparison but all those vanilla-callers remind me of Luddites. Blizzard want to move on while they demand to stay in place.

    Then what is this:
Right so we all miss the following stuff
That to me is speaking for all. I dont see TBC as Glory days´. Legendarys was crap in BC. There is nothing legendary about "OMG, it dropped on our first boss kill"

Wrong. And by "wrong" I mean WRONG!
You do not represent "everyone", "the community" or "all"...

Stop speaking for me, pretend to speak for me or even suggesting that you speak on my behalf.

Did you even play vanilla, It was far from balanced. I remember when I first got Ashkandi, decided to try some pvp and was able to murder anyone on my warrior. It allways took multiple people to kill me unless it was another geared warrior, but I had never done any pvp before.

And you think Cata is balanced when a rouge can one shot people from 10-70? Vanilla was like this: If you got gear = You do dmg, simple.

I never said cata was balanced, I only said vanilla was far from it. Unlike you claim it was.

So tell me, how did feral druids do? How did prot paladins do? How did balance druids do? How did shadow priests do? How did Elemental Shamans do? How did fury warriors do? How did arms warriors do?

I can tell you, not at all (in pve) because if you were a druid, you stayed out of combat to feed innervate for the real healers, and ressed. If you were a paladin, you cleansed. If you were a priest you healed, only. If you were a warrior, you tanked.

    Fun game.. really.

Old WoW (Vanilla and maybe TBC) was an amazing experience which people who played back then will probably never forget but no amount of level 60 or 70 servers will let you relive the feelings you had back then. And Blizz have stated they won't be moving back.

If you don't like what the game has evolved into you should move on, like many of us did.

I never played vanilla, but even I have heard more than enough stories of infinite warlock fears, rogues stunlocking from 100% to dead, and overgeared players being able to 2-shot pretty much everyone, to know that I would not want to even touch that game.

What you are feeling is nostalgia. The game is not new to you any more, and nothing will bring that back other than a totally new game.
