Anyone know of a good alternative bittorent client to utorrent and bitTorent? Got a new laptop and both of those seem to install adware now. I was looking at bitTornado, but don't really know anything about it.

oldversion.com go download an old utorrent version.
Also: You can chose not to install the adware.
Was not aware of that, thanks ypolt.
I don't understand, I've used Bittorent for at least 7 years and I've never seen any adware installed with it.
Oldversion.com didn't seem to work. Every version I downloaded, no matter how far back I went wanted me to install the adware. And have you ever updated Zzyx?
I just downloaded and installed it again like...two weeks ago.

Source: http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...ent-client.htmPros: Low and stable RAM and CPU with all the necessary features. Excellent performance on torrents. Development still seems to be very active and responsive to users. Clean install, no addons etc.
Cons: Basically a one person operation, which could affect progress (though it has not as of now). Support has improved, but still needs work. Not accepted at many private trackers, although I am sure it would be if it were more well known.

Well, finally found a version that didn't try and get me to install adware. The very first version with windows 7 support lol.
Are you sure your downloading it from the correct source?
Assuming your on Windows: http://www.utorrent.com/downloads/complete?os=win
I've actually found that uTorrent is one of the best clients out there... since it doesn't try to do everything like Vuze is trying to do now.
Antec Darkfleet DF-30 || Intel i7 2600k @ 4.2GHz || Thermaltake Frio Pull/Push || 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws-X || ASUS P8Z68 V-PRO
MSI GTX 560Ti Twin Frozr II/OC || Samsung 2233RZ || LG IPS236V-PN
I've had utorrent ever since it existed and I have never noticed any adware.. There might have been some yahoo bar for Firefox but you can untick it.
Utorrent, all day erry day
I got nines in the bedroom, glocks in the kitchen.
A shotty by the shower if you wanna shoot me while I'm shittin.
The new uTorrent is bloated and comes with alot of unnecessary stuff. The uTorrent crew wants to start making money on it, and will release a pro version. Thanks for the time we had, uTorrent...
