Low level warlock pvp and pve

I recently rolled a new warlock and i have been mainly pvping and running dungeons and i would like some tips.

The character is lvl 21 so i can't link an armory.

PVP issues ...... rogues I get one shot I don't think that can change, but i wanted to know if once i have: unstable affliction, corruption, and bane running if i should be spamming shadow bolt of drain soul. Also at how many seconds left should i be refreshing my dots on a target?

PVE issues...... my damage output seems relatively low in pve compared to the other classes, i keep out my imp and i drop unstable affliction, corruption, and bane of agony running on the target with shadow bolt spam or soul drain when low. Anything i'm missing?

ANY rogue in most low levels will 1 shot you, It's really simple as that hell most classes can in low level pvp VS a clothie as for pvE you shouldn't be too concerned for your damage mainly leveling and such. When you reach 85 then you can be concerned but right now; Just have fun with your warlock as you level.

If you specced Affliction, just quest! With a WL its much faster than doing instances.

most non-burst classes at low lvls are gonna have issues in PVE and PVP.
You putting up dots and casting etc takes forever compared to BOOMhunter or rogue at low lvls where they can burst down elites. Even at lv50 I was soloing most dungeons on my hunter because of OPness.

I have played a lock as my main since TBC. During end of WotLK I was bored and actualy pvp'd with my bank alt who was a lock. Again since I knew lock mechanics and how to use them I would do very very well in bg's. I quit for awhile and started back in cata so again bored one day and decided to do a lock alt (this time all heirlooms) and holy cow I was surprised!

First low level pvp is more or less broken because most classes do one shot you, rogues being the best at this. I basically quit my lock at around level 20 I think because of imbalance. Like some have said above, which is actually problem at 85 also, is locks are not the best burst class. We are more of a support class with affliction being our best pvp spec atm.

So you are asking about how to play at low levels. If you que solo you basically going to be a free kill to everyone. Until you get curse of exhaustion just throw up as many dots and especially UA (unstable affliction) on everyone as possible. Dont really use shadowbolt unless you get proc for instant sb through glyph of corruption or nightfall. You can use addons as far as when to refresh dots but never clip you dots let em tick full because they do most damage at the end. If they train on you then you are pretty much dead so always stay in group and if so find healer and hope he heals you and maybe act as his wingman and he might throw you more heals.

As far as PVE I would probably go Demo or Destro. They are more "bursty" specs plus better aoe for grinding low level dungeons. Trust me...Even in TBC doing heriocs my dots never ticked enough on trash mobs. Now with all nerfs most bosses probably wont last a full dot tick so use your felguard plus Hand Gul'dan or destro with immolate and incerate spam along with chaos bolt. Your choice but affliction is bad for PVE/dungeons. Grinding/questing its your choice.
