    "new" way for storing data?

    http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0207133506.htm

So by using a laser that generate a large amount of heat they can right terabytes of data a sec. if this becomes the way of storing large amount of data i guess water cooling, or just heatsinks for that matter, your harddrive might become some everyone should be.

But as far as i can see they didn't talk about reading data...

    What do you think?

Let's hope this one gets released to the public, unlike all the other hard drive advancements and battery ones also.
