How to get to Vashj'ir?

For Alliance, I'm sure there is an equivalent for horde.

1) Get hero's call quest
2) Sends you to talk to a place to receive a "vision". Did you get a vision of the Maelstrom? That's part of it.
3) Hand in next quest at dock.

Chances are, you're on one of those, or did one and didn't pick up the chain. Look all over town for !

If you've done the boat event, fly there from Dun Morogh. You CAN make it. I've done it many times.

I don't think I've ever done it. I might of have done the quest where you talk to the Orc near the docs and ended there because I thought that was that ..

Nothing in my quest log indicates it either.

Well go to that Orc's dock and check there. There should be a bunch of NPCs with voice acting that spawn if you got that far. And if the portal isn't there that should be where it happens.

Empty your quest log of any other quests that might interfere with that area. I know for Alliance, the quest where you escort Anduin around turns off the phased vashjir ship.

It's very phased. So no.

The maelstrom vision isn't part of it as far as I know. Its another quest from the bowl. I remember accepting it at like level 84 on one toon.

If you

1. Empty quest log of interfering quests

2. Wait at the correct dock for the scripted event with voice acting (be very sure you're at the right one)

3. The vashjir portal isn't at the portal hub

4. Get a summon to the first quest in vashjir

and still NOTHING happens...just get a GM to reset the hero's call quest and start it again. I have no idea what you did, but it screwed something up. o_o

Yeah that's the boat you come to Orgrimmar with - if you play a goblin.

Makes me think he's just at the wrong place. Check wowhead for the correct dock. It'll have pictures. Right now I gotta go though so good luck.

There's a quest that sends you TO the Maelstrom (intro to deepholm), and one that gives you a vision. When you first ding 80, and enter Stormwind, a quest will automatically appear in the upper right. It sends you to the guy at the portal place to give you a vision. It's like the intro to Cataclysm. I've done it many times, and it's followed by Vashj'ir. It may not be REQUIRED to get the breadcrumb quest for Vash, but it takes you there. Horde might be different, I don't know.

I did post links to the whole quest chain... all you need to do is test for each quest and see if you've done it till you find which part you are at. Easy.

according to wowhead, you have to accept the quest "A personal summons" before jumping into the chain

and also the bowl one

And you hAve to talk to an orc Inside the tower before the docks. Walk in and hes to your left. Gluck
