Found people saying it at the begining of the instance and it kinda stuck

    "HIYA"
    "How You Doin Mon?"
I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Orissa is my main and has been since Burning Crusade. The name was from the random generator. It gave me Orissan so I dropped the N at the end to make it sound more feminine. I do not come from India, nor was I aware that Orissa was the name for the Indian state when I made the character. I have been asked once.

However, my avatar is actually based on my rogue Suzette.

    I might tell you...

    Nah.

Actually it was my main's old name, which has since become Dragon along with my 2nd mage. Both names have turned out to be equally confusing in a raiding environment.

It came up as a suggestion when I changed my gamertag on Xbox live a few years back, and when I rerolled my Xbox account, I took the name.

Come on guys, so many of you are being lame.

"it's the name of my main" doesn't explain how you came up with it. It just tells where you copied it from. Don't be lazy, and answer the question properly if you're going to bother. How did you come up with it?

I used to go by Zeitgeist, but then I discovered it was too common and couldn't get it at many sites (already taken). So, I was goofing off in IRC and made my name Tsiegtiez (backwards), but took it a step further and typed it as I would say it, in the best phonetic I could. Seegtease.

When I first started to visit sites that required a username to post (around age 13), I would just think up random names that were somehow relevant at the time. As I'm sure you can imagine, after numerous websites and various usernames it became hard to remember; so, I set out to pick one username that would be unique enough for me to use it all over.

I decided on the word "nerd" first (which I sort of regret now, the word "geek" fits me much better). From there, I set out to find a word that started with "n" that would go well with "nerd". After a few minutes searching through the thesaurus, I settled on "notable" and "noteworthy". I've used them interchangeably for almost 10 years now, but I prefer "noteworthy".

Very simple, my name is Mike.
Back in 1996 when I needed to make my first username/email address, trying Mike was always taken (go figure, it is one of the most common english names) and it gave me alternatives like Mike657568678679.
So, I set out to make something that was a little unique, but not far from Mike.
I started with Micro, Mikro and settled on Myrko.
For a while, Mykro was enough, then even it started to be taken.
So, to make it easy to remember, I took Mykro, and added my birth month and favorite number, 9.
I figured if mykro was ever taken, mykro9 would not usually ever be taken, so I would not have to keep coming up with usernames.
Now I use versions of Mykro for what ever game I am playing at the time.
I used Sgt. Mykrovius for a Warhammer 40k game, and somehow came up with Mykrosyl as my account name for WoW.

I named mine after something I said while drunk. It didn't make much sense, but I got it when I was at a party (very drunk, mind you) and one of my friends named Calvin was getting angry so in an attempt to say "CALVIN, CHILLAX!" I just shouted "CALLAX!". I decided I liked how it sounded, and named my MMOchampion username after it.

Back in the Diablo II days, I started seeing people say nub instead of newb. I already thought it was bad enough that they used noob instead of newb but now we had to deal with nub. I wondered if I could change the slang once again so I started using knub with a silent k. I at least got all my friends doing it and once in a while I'd see strangers use it. I got known for knub by my friends and one day my buddy called me Mr. Knubbles and it stuck. I named all my Diablo 2 characters after that by using Mr, Mrs, Miss, Dr etc. I now use Knub and MrKnubbles for all my user names. I don't really like them as character names anymore, though. Most of my Warcraft character names are the names of Diablo II mercs and NPCs.
Check out my game, Craftsmith, on the Google Play Store!
