    Anti-game senate project in Brazil

There's a law being voted in the next couple days in our senate, that basically prohibits the fabrication, sales and ownership (categorizing those as crimes) of "imoral", "socially offensive" and "culturally offensive" games.

The main problem here is the censorship to an otherwise completely legal form of art/development all around the world and the use of very vague terms to define the criminal actions.

As if the current pirated market wasn't big enough with the abusive prices we are charged around here due to taxes on imported electronic devices (games included), when your average newly launched Xbox game goes for 118 US Dollars and your shiny new HD 7970 goes for $1000 (a 560ti goes for 500 dollars! You could buy a gtx 580 for that), they want to impose yet another barrier. It's completely insane.

Just spreading the story around a bit. Maybe get some around the world people pissed and get some international support.

You can help by sensing e-mails to this address valdir.raupp@senador.gov.br, which is the author of the law work e-mail and say something, non aggressive please, that is quick, like "Do not touch your people's games! From *your country*". Something like that.[COLOR="red"]
