I just hope the cars handle better in this one. I couldn't deal with GTAIV's cars.

GTA 4 was quite possibly one of the most poorly optimized (as in not optimized at all), games on the PC in the last several years. It was the same with L.A Noire, great game but the PC optimization is just not there, you need upper end graphics cards to really make it look good.

As for GTA 5, haven't seen enough of it to want to buy it, even if it was coming to the PC, which it isn't at this frame in time and there is no Wii U release announced either. Oh well, that's a loss for Rockstar, not me.

And most reporters have stated this after seeing the demo being played to them.

Indeed. I was baffled to learn I had to get an FPS limiter just to be able to finish the main storyline for the bit where you have to jump into the heli.

As it is, depending on whether or not they announce a PC-version, I'll probably have to buy the game twice (like I did for GTAIV). Once for the Xbox on release, so I can play the game and not having to avoid spoilers for the next x months, and then again for PC, so I can actually get all the immersion (speech, music, sound fx, etc.). Being hearing impaired and using hearing aids mean I pretty much have to use headphones to listen to games, as otherwise there's way too much background noise - unless I turn up the volume on my TV to very high levels, which my neighbours probably won't appreciate. Not to mention I hate steering with a controller.

Well. Don't I feel like a dunce now. Thanks for the info.

You realise it has already been delayed for more than a year right? it was supposed to be out first in spring 2012, then holidays 2012 if i remember right. Now its finally coming out and you want it delayed again?

It were only delayed once tho I think.
It was first announced to be released during the spring of 2013, then later revealed to be delayed to September instead since they had to polish the game a bit more. :3

I would actually welcome a delay of GTA 5 to November/December because it would mean versions of GTA5 for the new consoles. It kinda sucks that after like 3 months the game will be useless because you can´t play it on the new consoles if you bought it for 360 and PS3.

However I hope that they re-release it for Xbox One, PS4 and PC as this would be great.

haven't really followed this that much, does anyone know if a pc release will be happening on september 17th? or will only be released on xbox360 and ps3 ?

They have not officially announced a PC version yet. 17 of September is for PS3 and Xbox360 only.
I personally believe that, if they ever do release it for PC, they will not announce it until at least after 3 months of the console release.

mhh ok. not gonna buy a console only for this game, i guess. as only two month later, new xbox and playstation release. kinda messy timing to release the game so close to the next gen launch tbh. guess im going to wait for the pc version then

Yeah I don´t care about achievements anyway so taking them away wouldn't be a problem for me. Basically the same as in Starcraft 2 where you also have cheats for Single-player but you are unable to get any achievements for that career after activating a cheat.

The best thing about GTA has always been the freedom to do what you wanted to do. You could play without cheats or you could have fun with some cool cheats.
