I wasnt TOR fan before, actually i didnt like it until started it...

I was playing wow pretty hardcore, killing same bosses every week and i thought i was happy.
With try TOR, whole new dimension opened to me - why would i repeat killing same boss every time waiting to "that" piece of loot to drop and sitting in cities in the meantime with all maxed proffs, with 10lvl 85 toons, oh why i was so tunnelvisioned?

Now, i play 4 toons at the same time and i pray to level them as slowly as i can. Hear the stories, chat with unknown people on the planet, logging off in non-rested zones just to avoid rested bonus, flashpoint or two - in short its great, relaxing and casual game for me
At 1st, i really missed my wow addons - healbot as No.1 (used it for monitoring buffs and debuffs, not healing itself only),but i got used to be w/o it and im fine now. Recount would help too, but no need anymore for it, game is just pure casual fun and not rocket-science like wow was. Thank god no elitistjerks reading anymore, no min-maxing, just pure joy...
And when i level all my 4 classes, i will switch to republic side and level them all to see the stories.
My real life changed also - i dont need to attend strict raid times, i can go afk whenever i want, my Mrs is also plesased with this as I can stop playing whenever i want and do my duties (ye, that one too )

Yes, i saw the Sun after all those wow years - long live swtor

So you cant go afk in WoW? Even if i was in a sweet progression guild, i did go offline when i want to. So stop that shit.

As much as I appreciated LFD, I didn't feel like I could leave my computer when I was in the queue (especially as DPS). And once you're done with your daily quests (which were almost as bad as chores, or work, or exercise), you had nothing to do but wait for LFD.

Of course now you can sit and wait for LFR. Yay!

Welcome to TOR glad to hear you are enjoying yourself.

How could you not like something you never tried before? Now had you said you weren't interested in TOR until you tried it because you thought you were happy with WoW, I could understand, but not liking something without actually giving it a try baffles me. After playing WoW for seven or so years I was ready for a change, and I'm enjoying myself in TOR so far. Looking forward to more improvements to the game as it will only get better.

Yup... I'm sure you logged off in the middle of raids and always got an invite back...

i hear you OP. same thing for me, my wife and one of our friends, wasnt expecting much from SWTOR but were all now well hooked. Nice to be doing new, fresh content and just enjoying a game rather than a second job.

This a thousand times over again for myself as well. When you finally realize that some other games are essentially a hyper-obsession with pixels and numbers, it is liberating. And at the same time it allows me to focus on what I enjoyed in the early days of those other games: exploring and learning the story.

you do realize once your max lvl/prof/etc....you will be in same boat as you were in with wow. Nothing new here, the novelty will wear off, its simply a matter of time.

Indeed. I'm not saying i'm not enjoying the game either. What I am saying is while it's a breath of fresh air, it's an MMO and eventually will feel stale. In regards to OP's comments about going AFK whenever you like etc, I really do not understand where you were going with that. You're trying to compare your hardcore playing style to your now casual play style? Okay that's great and all, but that's got nothing to do with that game only you as a person. Regardless, glad you're enjoying yourself for now like the rest of us (:

Meh I payed for 3 months and still stopped playing after a month. The one thing I can't really figure out is this... I've been a huge star wars fan for a long time and this game just doesn't feel Star Warsy for me. It should, but for some reason it just doesn't. Oh well, glad you are enjoying it.

TOR offers way more end game content, imho. Let's take PVP, you got warzones, Illum(not nearly as bad as people are making it to be) which you can do dallies or always an ongoing pvp war, Open World PVP, soon to be ranked warzones. Only pvp thing WoW has going for it is Arena's and even that's unbalanced. I feel like i can do way more in end game TOR than end game WoW.

Jupp :/ took me around 6 Weeks.

    2 50s
    all Datacrons collected
all Professions maxed (at least once)
    PvP Rang 60
    Legacy Rang 46
    All Raidbosses killed
    All Flashpoints finished...

And no Clue what to do next >.<

Ah well, i do somehow enjoy ToR though, lets see what the next Patches bring

Meanwhile i gonna play Kingdoms of Alamur... which rocks, too !!!
I would like to apologize to anyone i have not offended.
Please be patient. I will get to you shortly.

    ...What?
Have you even tried TOR PvP? It's so terrible im almost about to cry as i write this. You did not describe one thing that TOR has that WoW doesn't ( I'm not trying to be a WoW fanboy, as i have also quit the game. But come on, that response makes me feel like you haven't even touched the game.)

I agree, it still need a lot of Work... you are feeling the Mystic Entertainment influence.
Its kinda like Warhammer...but with Lightsabres.

But give it Time, people tent to downrate MMOs so quickly...there isnt anything better to play at the Moment (MMO wise).
