    "Rakata" BioChem stims.

This is sort of a warning for people who might not of noticed, but Exotech stims from raid patterns are stronger than Rakata stims. I was messing around on my Marauder and my Rakata Might Stim adds 112 strength (tooltip still says 136), and the Exotech stays true to its tooltip and adds 128. Hopefully the Rakata Tooltip will be fixed to show its real value, and honestly they should be renamed to Energized (Rakata > Exotech for every other prof - inb4 mastercraft because you can mastercraft rakata pieces too). It might not be a big deal, a small difference in stats, but it's just confusing with the names. Also, on a side note, Exotech stims cannot be RE'd into Reusable D:.

Was this change new to 1.1.4?

no, one or two patches before
the rakata stims have the same value as energized ones and are worse than the exotech ones
they still didn't update the tooltip for some reason

still worth it to not have to have to keep makeing the silly things

Although I might lose some stats, I would much rather have Rakata then Exotech due to reuseablity (o.O). I dropped Armstech (worthless IMO) and leveled up Biochem just for reuseable stuff since in the end, gear gets outdated whereas Stims etc will most likely stay the same.

I would have kept Armstech is Rakata cannons had Barrel slots but instead have the stats baked into the weapon..

I just dropped 400/400 Synthweaving for the same reasons.

Wouldn't make much sense if the Exotech ones were worse, seeing as though most end game players seem to take biochem anyway. This way even if you've got biochem you can still make the Exotech ones for a small added bonus, and yet you can use your reusables when you run out of materials and money.

So how worth it is to level Biochem instead of, say, for a sorc, Synthweaving? It wouldn't let me take both of them, and the recommended WAS synth (though nothing I make seems useful :P)

If you're not 50 yet, Armormech or Synthweaving can be useful to keep yourself reasonably geared.

At the moment, if you're 50 and run ops with a group, its situational. If you can get someone in the group to go synthweaving or armormech and make the good BoEs for the rest of the op, then there's really no need to go with either of them.

At 50, right now I can afford to buy mats and have one of our biochems make stims for me. But I'd never be able to afford the mats for 2-3 adrenals per boss attempt, and nothing I have (as artifice) makes up for that. My BoP relics are only marginally better than rakata (and probably not better than the passive relic drops in KP). From what I've seen, BoP synth/armor gear is only marginally better than columi or rakata, and don't have the set bonuses. Don't get me wrong, I have an awesome Synth hat I got off the GTN, but its one piece out of 5, and I bet with rakata level mods I can make a better one from modable gear.

As it is, its not the stims that make Biochem op. They're not all that expensive if you save them for Ops. Its the adrenals. And it pisses me off.

And don't forget about the rakata medpacs, super useful if you get in a pinch.
