Ok, I changed half a dozen adjectives and turned one rhetorical question into a statement, while still conveying the same message. Did that sate your comment rage?
I genuinely had no idea that answering the same question in two different threads with the same answer would throw people into such a fit. If such a situation presents itself in the future, I'll make sure I change a few adjectives or what not to keep people from getting so bent out of shape. And here I though spam was "the use of electronic messaging systems (including most broadcast media, digital delivery systems) to send unsolicited bulk messages." Thanks for clarifying that it apparently includes solicited, non-bulk messages as well.

I have an idea and I know this won't be to popular but it needs to be said. Can we stop having these threads turn into fuckign advertisements for gw2? You have a forum for that. Keep it in that forum. The amount of advertisement you guys put out for that game in SWTOR threads is a fucking joke. It makes me think you have to over compensate for some sub conscious flaw you perceive in the game already.
I like SWTOR for the storylines we get, actually feel like I am actually contributing to something instead of just going there for shits and giggles. Still play WoW though as I am a sucker for Fantasy games, and that I love Orcs.
The OP said he was tired of WoW and also disliked TOR (apparently because it was too similar) and asked for suggestions for other games. Since he's clearly an MMO player, GW2 is expected to be one of the suggestions. Are you also annoyed that people suggest magicka?
A lot of people are excited about GW2, just as a lot of people were excited for tor before it released, and tor was mentioned every other post in wow, rift and gw2 threads. Get over it and enjoy the game...
@OP: I feel the same way, I quit wow due to boredom, and started playing TOR, at first I loved it, and I still think it's a good game, but (and I'm sorry to use the term) it's basically just wow.
Yeah I feel "Meh" about SWToR aswell. Started skipping most voice acting at lvl 25. All I said was "If there´s cash involved im in blah blah"
Actually, i'm still having lot of fun.
Just the idea of going back to WoW......*shivers*
I am a leaf on the wind; watch how I soar.
Overall not a bad point, except that he specifically states in the OP, a 2v2 game that's NOT a MMO or Fps, so the GW2 call is still a bad idea.
as to the OP... Yeah I know what you mean, I've been waiting for this game for years..... But it's just not quite right, I ended up cancelling my sub after about 2 months, got 2 chars to 50, and then hit a brick frakkin wall, not that I couldn't DO the end game, but that I didn't WANT to, I would log in, see my Tankasin and think 'Hmm, time to do some dailies, and then maybe a HM or two' then sign and log on to level a lowbie.
In the end I got bored of my low level characters, and went back to WoW, because the game play is basically the same, but I have a cool guild I can hang out with. I might give Swtor a try again in a while, once theyv'e ironed out some of the bugs, and generally put a bit of polish on the game. That or the shine wears off and I get re-bored of WoW (which will happen pretty soon, it's still WoW afterall.)
'Why did the hipster keep burning his mouth when he ate pie. Because he was eating them WAY before they were cool man.'
'If a hipster falls in the woods... does he make a sounds?' 'Yeah.. he does... but you wouldn't have heard it yet'
'How many hipsters does it take to change a lightbulb? What?! You didn't know about changing Lightbulbs? I've been changing lightbulbs for years man'
First Month leveling was great, Running all the OPs / HMs the first time was great, now... not so great..
After having two lvl 50s, started on a 3rd...leveling just isn't the same. Did all the HMs / OPs / PVP
The game isn't so Epic anymore, most of the buddies I started with quit before 50, or quit a few weeks after running OPs.
ATM.. Taking a small break and playing Tribes: Ascend Beta which is a good change from SWTOR.
Current Game: Tera - "Valley of Titans" Server
Lancer - Popori - Tank
Sorcerer - High Elf - DPS
Current Game: Tribes: Ascend
Current Game: SWTOR - "The Fatman" Server
50 - Jugg - Tank; 50 - Assassin - Tank
i did not renew my swtor sub this time... the first 1-40ish levels where great, the last not so much imo. I tried to get into the game a 50, did a few ops and some flashpoints, but everytime i logged in it felt more like a chore than anything else.
I'm an mmo addictso right i have too much spare time. Waiting for Tera (played the Beta) and maybe The Secret world, GW2, Diablo III.
In the meantime i'm playing Minecraft and BF3.
Wtb proper mmo... actually considering starting Wow again![]()
The hype surrounding a video game does strange things to gamers. Look at Warhammer, LotR, Rift, Aion, AoC, etc etc and Star Wars was just another example. No doubt the game will be successful to a degree like all of the others but there will always be people that lobby for things to a level that really entices you. I made a promise to myself to not buy into the hype anymore on any game because I am always let down =p
Ashkore the Immortal - Protection Warrior
<WHATEVER WERE AWESOME> of Magtheridon - 8/8H - US #12 RecruitingReal Raiding is 25 man
Could always try with console games for some time, if you have a console like Xbox, Playstation, or Wii. It's pretty refreshing playing console games only for a while, and then start playing something else on the computer.
I know people dislike it, but something you really should check up is Guild Wars 2. It's not out yet, and I know you said that you don't really want to play an MMO at the moment, but I promise you, it's really worth checking out.
Thank you to all. I've just cancelled my SWTOR account. Not sure what the next stage is for me.
I agree with the points, that SWTOR is basically WOW, but back in the olden days with no LFG / interesting dailies / developed community. I feel the PVP is little dull, and for the most part confusing for players.
I do want some form of 2v2 game, if only Splinter Cell : Pandora Tomorrow was still an amazing 2v2 multiplayer :/
I think I'll just casually play some SC2 and maybe casually play wow. I'm sure GW2 will get hyped beyond belief, but it still doesn't look interesting enough for me to buy right now! It's sad, I had such high hopes for SWTOR!
