My guild is currently working on Hagara HC. I was wondering if players tombed can click lightwells placed under the stack points? We're already done for the night but I just finished watching a video where they stacked on top of a lightwell which posed the question to me. Some basic searches didn't turn up an answer to the question so I thought I'd make a post here.
Ice Tomb doesn't prevent healing, it just causes LoS. Any indirect heal that works without LoS will work, including Lightwell.
What also works:
-Ground AoE heals
-PoH <---- yes really, just target someone in their party
-PoM bounces
-Divine Hymn/Tranq/Spirit link
-Beacon heals
-Atonement heals
etc...
Specifically for Lightwell, it's very good to use during that part of the fight b/c the Ice Tombs also cause LoS issues for the whole raid and are a nice way for people to keep themselves alive.
we killed hagara for the first time last week, we had 15-20 attempts with me as holy (alongside a pally and druid), for the lightning phase divine hymn is awesome. for everything else, TBH as soon as i went to disc it was a one shot.
whether it was jsut us getting better on the fight (we were better at chaining lightning) but disc felt alot more controlled
you cant click lightwell while in tomb. best way is to hot players before tombs and just kill tombs quickly. if blocks dont die fast enough, poh or pom and they will be fine. shouldnt give you much trouble, for us people are at ~30% hp when blocks die. you can use ground healing effects to heal people too (wouldnt waste divine hymn for it)
As a final update to this, you most definitely CAN click the lightwell while tombed, I verified it myself tonight. Also, she went down on the third pull XD.
Divine Hymn is, in my opinion, better used to heal your ranged and healers in the ice/water phase while they are standing in the bubble. At least that's how my group does it. We just outheal the bubble damage and have our ranged bring down the crystals while the few melees we have run around and do all the damage they can. DH and Tranq are best used in that phase. It's possible to do it with just regular healing but it makes it a lot easier.
If you're doing it right, the lightning phase should be extremely short anyway with some moderate damage while people are chaining. That shouldn't require a strong cooldown like DH.
OT:
Any group or ground heals, as well as Lightwell, can heal player inside tombs. PoH is a nice way to "snipe" in some extra health if people in the tomb are low.
If it is getting to the stage where people are really needing heals in those tombs, then its the dps that need to fix what they're doing. Aside from that, just drop your sanc ontop of them.
DH should be used in a phase transition where it is actually useful. PoH will work if you chain it off a party member.
You can make a macro to target the lightwell and if you have a keybind for "interact with target" (was amazing for launch day for quest givers) it will work without being able to see it if you are within range. You don't have to actively click the lightwell at all using those two things.
