Chyp: Can we expect to see any animation/damage timing consistency changes between factions?

Georg Zoeller (Principal Lead Combat Designer): Yes. The animation team has been working on a new set of animations for abilities like the Trooper's Mortar Volley to provide closer matching of animation timings and improved combat responsiveness. We expect to roll these changes out with Game Update 1.2.
    answer for your question:
    a complete REPUBLIC-ONLY animation cast-delay issue
TrueDND: Currently, the incentive to choose other Crew Crafting Skills outside of Biochem is minimal due to the fact that, once you reach max level, all gear that is acquired through PvE and PvP is better than all crafted equipment and mods (mostly through the Commendation and token vendors). Is this being looked in to?

Georg Zoeller: Absolutely. With the upcoming Game Update 1.2, we are adding endgame crafting for all professions. This includes augment crafting, the ability to crit-craft custom (orange) gear with augment slots, new endgame schematics, new color crystals, expanded and improved research and reverse engineering and much more (we're up to 4 pages of crew skill related patch notes in 1.2. alone)

Combined with new features such as the ability to extract base-mods from purple items (including the set bonus) and the improved color matching feature, crafters of all professions will find themselves in a lot of demand once the update hits.
    answer for your question:
no word on optimization of crafting to make it worthwhile to spend credits while leveling on crafting
    As for your question:
    UI customization
they said that you can move some elements of your UI like the mini map or the chat and that they will late you adjust the size of every aspect of your UI. All of this will be implanted in 1.2.

    Got it now?

Ty for being quicker than me on this. Just saved me the trouble

I mean seriously, the very first question answered addressed one of the problems. I think we know who didn't read.

Like others I am very much looking forward to getting back into the Star Wars universe and every patch makes it easier for me to log on and keep enjoying this game. While I agree that there is a lot of ground for Bioware to cover to make this a polished game, they do seem to be taking the necessary steps.

100% agree. I am currently taking a break just due to the fact that I currently don't have much spare money and am enjoying some extra free time outside the game. However with the way this patch is shaping up I will easily be willing to pay $15 to come back if they continue making the effort and improvements they seem to be aiming for. Let us just hope that it all comes through =).

This is one of the biggest issues for me right now, just below LFG. I hope they work on those animations fast.

I don't presume to judge his opinion. But I can question his factual statements, can I not? How was this personally insulting?

BTW: I also don't presume to question moderation in the thread, of course. But it's getting hard to tell whether the green comments are moderation or just commenting on individual posts. I mean this in all honesty. I've not quite ever seen this type of moderation.

Nice patch imo, going to cover a great deal of their bases it seems.

Props to Bioware for promptly addressing community concerns.

Cross Server LFG for Flashpoints and WZ

Even in the new Q/A they waffle on this - it's not clear if this will come out, and if so it looks like they're intentionally being sketchy that it will still be quite limited.
The current tool is a failure on many if not most or all servers.
But without SERVER TRANSFERS a failure on any number of servers kills it for the people on them.

I guess the "get a guild", "reroll", "make friends its an mmo", "play alts", "que for bgs in groups", "i always win mine" crowd are winning the argument.
They win the argument a lot, and manage to take down every good alternative to wow -- then once they kill it, they say it sucks and move to the next one.

Oh well, Tera cloased beta is out for it's second weekend, very nice game - bought one copy 2 weeks ago and a second today (also cancelled my 2 SWTOR subs).

Will wait and see if 1.2 has server transfers, cross server LFG for flashpoints and pvp, or has some smilar lame version like they have now.
The end game is there, they just made it annoying and time consuming to get to it --- and it's not good enough to outweigh the inconvenience.

Do people not even bother to ask this anymore or do they just ignore that question now?

Never being able to have different ships just about seals it. As in, there is truly zero freedom in your character's development. Hell, I would have been happy to at least be able to paint the damn thing.
Everytime I see your avatar I already know I am going to read a QQ post, or a Half-ass remark.

Most of the things you are crying about are either getting changed or are already usable such as High Res textures.

Also WoW has been around for nearly 7 years and only just fixed there loot system within the last year. Quit complaining for the sake of it.

Ive read these forums for about 2 years and have come to the conclusion that Cula just likes to see his name in green. I also have never seen anyone "moderate" a forum quite as bad.

You say not having it will ruin your game, others think having it will ruin theirs...someones going to lose. I dont mind a LFG; but I dont like a LFG Xserver.

I think xrealm has too much anonymity to it; I wouldnt mind server transfers for the low pop planet at all (or just merge them).

Agreed. XServer grouping has too much anonymity - no consequences for actions and in that vein I wish that even if Legacy names are hidden they should still be able to be observed and able to be ignored.

This straw man argument drives me nuts - with all due respect.
It's not just you, but many people claim this.
They think the behavior in LFG is so bad that it ruins their game.
BUT, if those people "have friends", are "in a guild", "make groups by hand", etc. as they argue now - then they would NOT be using the LFG tool.
So the behavior of people in groups made by the LFG tool would not effect them... they would not be in those groups...

You remember everything Blizzard promised patch 3.3 to be? BioWare seemed to take that as a challenge. 1.2 is the God patch.

They want to wait to piss one group of people off, I guess. But they really need to do something.

They explained pretty it clearly already. Lots of class quests happen inside the ship so they have scripted the quests work in the ships we got now, if you change the interior of the ship every single one of those quests would need to be redone for the new ship and of course any future quest would have to be made x amount of times instead of just once.

Oh please what consequences are their for being a ass or a ninja back in TBC?

You could put the person on ignore and you can spam trade and call him/her a ninja....

You would do it a day or so at best and then ignore it because you rarely pug with the same people again even before cross server LFG.

Nothing has changed and their are less ninja's now thanks to the auto loot rules then in their was in TBC.

Having a cross server LFG had been a huge plus for WoW. I made use of the free week WoW offer and it took my dps 10 mins to enter the new heroics, before back in TBC it would take at least a hour to find a tank.

I don't PvE much so won't say anything there, but i would be very angry at a cross server WZ that was more then 2 or 3 servers max, as the community and recognising who im fighting against and with is something i really love about my server, despite it being on the whole a terrible server with about 10 people on the fleet at prime time (cause everyone is in Warzones).

And they seriously need to add server transfers.
