[TV] Favourite Star trek captain

I am afraid it's a little late seeing as we have pretty much all cast our vote. I went for Picard, but i can see how Archer can appeal to some.

I know, although maybe the continued discussion will encourage more people to see the thread and vote.

I'm not sure if anyone will be interested, but at least now it's an option!

jeez if you're gonna have Captain Riker you open up yourself to including Captain Sulu, Captain Esteban (he asploded), Captain Terrell (he had a bug in his ear), Captain Pike (flashing light), Captain Keogh (asploded by kamikazes) umm... Kelsey Grammar, the chick with the metal stuck in her forehead from Enterprise-C, the guy from Ferris Bueller on B, Decker from the Motion Picture...

oh, I do like the guy who forced Troi to finally wear a real uniform

I guess my point is that listing Riker amongst captains is silly

I voted Sisko. One of the strongest Captain roles of all time. I'd say second only to Captain John Sheridan.

I like the guy that plays Kirk in the new film. I would vouch for the original, but Shatner's over-the-top presentation broke my suspension of disbelief in an otherwise goofy television show.

Actually Pike was the 1st captain of the enterpirse. (re-watch the pilot) and he's the one who gets my vote.

shame that ds9 was a direct ripoff of babylon 5. even the characters are somewhat mirrored. do a google search. (and sheridan would beat sisko over the head like a redheaded stepchild.) every time i saw DS9 on i'd tell ppl that baywatch in space was on.

Actually that's not true. Robert April was the captain of the Enterprise before Pike. He completed one 5 year mission. Pike commanded it for 10 years (2 five year missions) before Kirk took over.
