    Random computer lockups

    Hey guys,

Recently I've had some troubles with my PC freezing/locking up. This occurs in any given situation (idle, high load).
Thinks I've thought about are some hardware issues. I have disassembled my PC however, and reassembled it. The problem still occurs.
One other thought was the fact that my CPU is over clocked. As the freezes are rather rare, I can't say for sure the problem lies here. Maybe you guys can find something wrong with the settings. Whenever I run a torture test (prime95) it stays solid for hours straight. Currently, I am using the following settings:

    BLCK: 100
    Multi: 46
    CPU-V: 1.35V
    CPU PLL: 1.9V
    VCCSA: 1.1V
    VCCIO: 1.106V

(please note that my system specs are in my signature)

    Other things I've already tried:

    - Reinstalled mobo/gpu drivers
    - Reinstalled windows
    - Cleaned the case

Does anyone have an idea what this could be? Thanks in advance

    Regards!

There's nothing wrong with running a slightly lower clock... 4.2 for example (even at stock your machine will still perform better than most others)
I'd suggest running at 4.0ghz for a week and seeing if you notice any difference
