On a more serious note, yeah, there are no "typical" races in this game besides the humans. And even the humans are not your generic humans. Even so, I am sure you can be a shorter Norn if you want, but I am not sure HOW short you can possibly be.
Dont think they get shorter than avrage human although they'd still be builkier. Guess the OP could roll a norn and RP it as a dwarf with a growth hormone imbalance.

    Who is John Galt?

They're not extinct yet! The wiki labels them as "dying"
I hope you haven't forgotten my role in this little story. I'm the leading man. You know what they say about the leading man? He never dies.

If you give in to your impulses in this world, the price is that it changes your personality in the real world. The player and character are one and the same.

They better be still be living stone, or whatever, like earthen. That, at least, would be a bit of a break, and something "unique" as far as playable races in GW2 go.
What if you use Basilisk Venom in them?!

And just like in WoW, a dying race (gnomes) will be a playable one!

It's having a lower center of gravity. Our brains are subject to slightly more pressure, and so they're more compact and vastly more efficient.
The taller the bookah, the more stupid. It's just science.

Canon lore says the Gnomeregan incident killed 80%, so there's still plenty.

The only extremely xenophobic dwarves were the Stone Summit dwarves, which were defeated by the Deldrimor dwarves with the help of the ascalonian heroes. (in Guild Wars 1)

Don't really think the dwarves will ever be playable, think they were all turned to stone after the Rite of the Great Dwarf was completed. (when the Great Destroyer was killed, at the end of Eye of the North)

Oxygen content is also lower at higher altitude.
That means bookahs brains don't work as well as Asuras do.
    It's science.

    This is true
Also easier for them to get their heads chopped off...never helps. Silly bookahs.

I thought it was 90%. Ah well, too bad I can't kill the 10/20 percent that is left.

Hehe, and my friends wonder why I stopped caring about Warcraft's lore after WoW came out.

Back to GW2: Someone convince me to play an Asura. I want to try them out, but I am way too in love with the Humans in this game and we only have 5 slots.

True story: I only know the names of raid bosses in WoW, Thrall and Sylvanas. Haven't read quest text in roughly... 7 years?

Besides some of the newer quests in Cata (old and new content) the text was never really that interesting. You have not missed much.

I abandoned wow lore roughly the same time they did. Saying they basically couldn't be bothered to finish the tidehunter's story. An elemental lord! They took my Orc vs Humans lore...Khadgar and all the rest, and shat all over it.
    /end rant. Sorry for offtopic.

If I get invited and can't play a dwarf or elf I might as well. Humans are boring, the only time I every tried a 'beast' race was worgen just cause they were added and didn't care for them.

But if I can get something similar I might look at the character creation screen and try to make a character I like, cause if I play a game I better like the look of the character im playing the entire game, otherwise I won't enjoy it.

But if I get a beta invite I will try and see if I can make a race workable to my liking, if not then its a waste of a beta key cause its hard to play a game looking at a race I don't enjoy looking at.

That completely explains why you're race is so inferior to that of the Charr.
Seriously, what kind of mouse builds a city in the sky? It's an easy target for even the most lackluster siege plan. You may say you're little spells, incantations, and "science" (hah! You call a de-weaponized ego-suit science!?) protect your city, sure. Although you have that advantage you also lack in REAL firepower and brute force. I'd bet a whole months military wage that a full Charr armada would tear your pathetic mouse hole a couple new ones in a matter of hours.
