Tandred Proudmoore in Mists of Pandaria

I feel like Tandred Proudmoore, brother of Jaina, will play a major role in Mists of Pandaria.

First off, Theramore will be destroyed and of course Jaina could be killed. This brings Kul Tiras into the picture; Theramore is autonomous from but strongly allied with Kul Tiras. Both are naval strongholds of the Alliance. It makes perfect sense for Tandred to lead the naval fleet of Kul Tiras, the Alliance's most powerful, to war with the Horde. Upon early arrival in Pandaria, he could also likely be the leader of the Alliance forces on the island. I always think of Mists of Pandaria as something similar to the historical Scramble for Africa; Tandred could fit that role as a leader of such a push for control and resources.

He is the Lord Admiral of the Kul Tiras navy, for those who might not be aware.

That man in the tattered naval uniform that you saw in the Mists of Pandaria artwork?
    Probably him.

Jaina won't die, she is going to get herself a novel centered around her soon enough.

I can't help but wonder--is he even canon? Outside of the tabletop RPG, I don't recall any nods towards him existing in the game or the novels, not even Arthas: Rise of the Lich King (wherein a good deal of the early story is spent being told from both Arthas's and Jaina's points of view). So far as I know, any role he would fill is currently being filled by Jez Tereth in Stormwind City, as her tag confers upon her the top commander of the Alliance navy.

Awesome sig by Elyaan is awesome.

I just can't help but feel Kul'Tiras won't show up in this expansion like you speculate. The content is focused on Pandaria, not the South Seas. If Kul'Tiras appeared in full glory, it would have to serve as a major city.

Alliance Navy and Kul Tiras Navy are two different fleets. Consider the Alliance one the Stormwind Navy. Anyways I doubt much is heard from him as he has most likely stayed in KT his life under tutelage of his father and then as his successor. I would, assume?

If with extremist you mean extreme racist, then I have to say probably yes. In fact the entire nation of Kul Tiras is pretty racist, Jaina is pretty much the black sheep in the family

I still hope that they release Kul'Tiras as city (like Dala and Shat) for alliance and Undermine for the horde. A shared capital would kinda make no sense in an expansion that focuses on the war between horde and Alliance (ye I know that the pandarens that live on pandaria are neutral, but it still wouldn't make any sense)

I want more racists....tired of the orcs (horde fans) thinking they can walk on whatever they want then play the race card when a badass human comes along to teach them some manners, this isn't their world....time for them to find a new one.

We don't need another Garithos, we all know what happened the last time a racist like him was in power...

    *ahem*Forsaken/BloodElves*cough*...

Though I will agree, we need more aggressive Alliance commanders, ones who are going to gut some Orcs if they have the audacity to challenge the Alliance for any reason.

Garithos wasn't Alliance to me...more like some dick that tried to swing in for more power after the defeat of the Alliance, the real Alliance was being rebuilt in SW.

He was a registered Grand Marshall on payroll from the southern Alliance provinces, more than likely he was from either Stormwind or southern Lordaeron like Hillsbrad.

As much as I hate him for everything he stood for, he was a commander of Alliance forces, and even his own army hated him for being racist, but they still followed his orders to the letter because he outranked them.

Personally as well, if his soldiers had more backbone, they would have killed him themselves and said he "died in combat with the scourge" and Returned home (or at the very least, helped the Forsaken take Lordaeron's capital and somehow form a relations to them and then leave)

Just imagine how much would have been different if that bastard died sooner...

The RPG indicate no, but ultimately those are non-canon and even if it is considered canon, his article was published in the Lands of Conflict RPG which (slightly) predates WoW. A lot can change after so many years.

I think ultimately his best bet to appear is when either Kul Tiras actually appears in game, or if Kul Tiras's navy enters the scene in a big way.

At any rate, I think he would make a good person to appear when Kul Tiras actually makes it into the game.
Remember the lessons of the past, but do not become lost in nostalgia. Seize the moment whenever possible, but not when it could do you great harm down the road. And look to the future as far as you can, but do not become complacent waiting for a brighter future to come to you. For the past, present, and future all have their place in the human psyche, and to see one as superior to the others is the most grievous error a person can make in life.

Never heard of him. Sweet design though.

I know what he was....but in the end I know he would have been court marshaled or killed, but considering how many Alliance figures were left in that region he wasn't a commander he was The Commander. He was always a racist no doubt but he probably down played it, but pretty much after it was just him and the rag tag alliance left he could do what ever he wanted. And he did make relations with the forsaken, a deal if I remember and If i remember correctly Slyvanas had him killed anyhow. And that brings me to my next point.....he must have been the worse Grand Marshal ever. I wish there was more story on him so we could get a better feeling for his character before the events of the scourge.

his face reminds me of Garithos Portrait in Wc3.
Too often, we are mistaken for druidic types. perhaps that's true for some shaman, but do not let yourself be plagued by the ignorant belief that we are always peaceful.
Nothing about what I do is harmonious. I command the elements to my will. There is nothing offered in return. I would have it no other way.

Doubt that Kul'Tiras will side with the Alliance, since the Zandalari trolls are now also enemies.
