    5. What is your favorite dessert?

    6. Is there anything unique about where you live?

The country is very multicultural, at least in the more populated areas.

IMO, most kickass place to live, though I may be biased. You're within an hour's drive of the beach, the desert, the mountains and pretty much everything in between. Mediterranean climate isn't unique but it is the rarest biome on the planet.

    Name: Kas

    Age: 21

    Gender: Female

Country: Russia (for most of life, now live in the US)

    1. What do you do for fun where you live?
Study, examine the people and architecture, read, visit historical sites, look at international events

    2. What is the most popular sport in your country?
Depends on who you ask... strong in basketball and Rugby, myriad of other sports.... but I prefer a game of chess (yes, chess is a sport in Russia)

    3. What music genre's are popular?
Mix of modern and traditional. Classical and romantic era music has a lot of prominence, especially those of Russian composers, but there is also a lot of pop/techno going around. Rap never really took off, at least not here, but in general anything with a lot of bass goes.

    4. What is your favorite meal?
Borsch with sour cream, with a baked potato and any kind of bread that isn't whole wheat

    5. What is your favorite dessert?
    Definitely pumpkin pie

    6. Is there anything unique about where you live?
Many things.... St. Petersburg is just about always clouded over, so there's rarely any sunlight and constant rain. You can't go three streets without running into something historical. It's a city of canals draining into three rivers. Every time you walk out in the main areas is a different experience due to the massive tourism industry. There's a myriad of historical sites.

    1. What do you do for fun where you live?
Personally I love watching TV / Movies, playing WoW and other video games and hanging with my friends. Other people around here tend to love going to parties and bars and such. Getting together to play football is pretty popular as well.

    2. What is the most popular sport in your country?
Definitely football, or soccer in America.

    3. What music genre's are popular?
It's this Brazilian music called "sertanejo," which is popular especially in my state. Pop songs and the music that gets a lot of air time on American radio tends to be popular around here too, though.

    4. What is your favorite meal?
I love this beef my mom cooks with caramelized onions all over it served with rice and beans ( a staple in the Brazilian diet ) served with homemade french fries

    5. What is your favorite dessert?
My mom makes an awesome cake called Rocambole which gets rolled up like a giant twinky. it's usually filled and covered with doce de leite. http://perlbal.hi-pi.com/blog-images...m-Amendoim.jpg

    6. Is there anything unique about where you live?
Having lived 15 years in the US, I find the single coolest part of living here the wild life. For example, I started college a few weeks back and my university is pretty new and was built in the middle of nowhere but they didn't want to relocate the animals from there, so I'm sitting in class and all the time freaking MONKEYS come in and steal shit from the students. I love it! They steal food and pens and whatever they can get, really, but I just find them so awesome.

Also, since I live smackdab in the middle of the country, we only have two seasons here. It's like 4? or so? months of just rain all the time, and I mean generally torrential downpours. It tends to rain for like an hour and then clear up, though. And the rest of the year it's just SO hot and dry and it's rare to see a single cloud in the sky. Kinda a big change moving to this from Connecticut :O

    6. Is there anything unique about where you live?

Yes. The capital city, Stockholm, is the most secure prison in the whole world. It's a prison of drabness and boredom. And concrete. And tarmac. It's secure because it's so safe to be inside, that noone dares to leave, noone dares to live in the real world. We are prisoners of socialism.*

Also, if you try to talk to someone on the subway, they think you are insane
