    The complete MoP sucks thread...

Don't be fooled by the thread title, this is just a place for us to be our pessimistic selfs without the social pressure of all others who are so completely enthousiastic about some of the features of MoP. You don't have to dislike everything about MoP to post in this thread, but just let us know which features promised in MoP you dislike or which ones you feel very indifferent about.

    I personally:
    - Don't care much for monks. MoP probably would still be as good a game to me if they didn't add this new class
    - Don't care at all about pandaren. MoP probably would've been a better game to me if pandaren were not added as a playable race
    - Don't care much for pet battles. Although I think they'll be fun and popular and might add something interesting to the game
    - Don't care much about scenarios. Just seems like daily questlines to me... And I don't care about dailies at all, even now or back in TBC when they first were added.

See all the things above I don't care about? I do care about new raidcontent though... that's about the only thing I care about. I'm a hardcore PvE-er. So I'll buy and play the game and focus mostly only on what new raiddungeons they'll be offering us.

I really, *really* want to click "I dont care about Pet Battles", because it seems so... so whimsically minimalistic. But...

.. heck, I do want to try it out.

I'd like to know why you think adding content takes away from the game.
Putting in new classes/races is, literally, the exact opposite of that.

Aside from engaging/challenging raid content, what else do you want to see in MoP?

The only thing I'm not keen on is the Horde-Alliance conflict. I couldn't care less whether Sociopath A or Sociopath B wins.

Where is the option for not caring about what you don't care about because my entertainment is not dependent on someone else's opinion?

Oh there can be lots of reasons. Immersion breaking, being uncomfortable around playable chubby bear people, suspension of disbelief etc. etc.
By the way I can see nipples in your avatar.

This thread is not really about me. But I wouldn't have a clue really to answer your question. I only seem to care about raidcontent every patch... Maybe I should broaden my horizon and give PvP a try once MoP launched.

Any addition to the game, changes the game. Any change to the game makes it different from what it was. In that sense something is taken away. It takes away the game as it used to be.

That's a very nice attitude, but not what this thread is about. It's just a thread for us grumpy old pessimistic folks to say our piece. :P
Kudos to you though for showing you really like the MoP game and all it's features. I've no problems with that and this thread should not really turn into bashing people's opinions because they're different.

Please add the option, "I dislike everything about MoP equally and am not impressed with anything they have planned."

    Then I'll vote.

I don't care for the "re-emergence" of world PvP that MoP is promising. I play WoW with my best friend so we can go kill dragons together, not to get our asses kicked by other players. Yes, I suck at PvP and I'm damn proud of it because that's not the part of the game I'm focusing on so I'm not going to try and get better. If I find a quest hub is being camped by the opposite faction, I'm done. I'm not going to have my gaming experience be interrupted by your desire to seek your jollies (yes I'm being selfish and I don't care).

So what, in this case, is being taken by the addition of Pandaren?

It reveals a part of the world that we never explored. It reveals lore about several races (one of which we knew existed, the pandaren).

Seriously, what does it take away?

And how do you suggest they manage the game? Bring every character in Warcraft III? Most of them didn't even exist till WC3. There were no Arthas, no Illidan, heck, no night elves. How about Qiraji? Did we know of their existence prior to WoW? And details on titan? Their creations? New lore is what drives this game. People must understand that MoP is really a waystone in the history of not just WoW but Warcraft as well.

I'd give some of it a go at least.

Regarding littlelarks' comment - i actually disagree. Raidfinder took a lot away from the game for me, but that's another discussion.

OT: I'm not excited about the Alliance vs Horde concept at the moment. As long as there's a bad-ass villan thrown in somewhere i don't mind; i'm just pretty worried that this won't be the case

I haven't actually played it yet, but I can say with certainty I've never had less enthusiasm towards a WoW update, and they're going to have to bring their A game to make an expansion that'd regain my interest in the game.

I dont really care for the pet battles but im looking forward to everything else and even then the pet battle system is basically a secondary profession I bet its alot more fun to level that than Archaeology and Fishing.

Right, but your options are not encompassing enough to express how terrible the Panda-themed expansion is and how deflating the MoP announcement was.

Cant wait to see OP with his pandaren monk playing petbattles in between scenarios
An opinion is a subjective statement or thought about an issue or topic, and is the result of emotion or interpretation of facts. An opinion may be supported by an argument, although people may draw opposing opinions from the same set of facts. Opinions rarely change without new arguments being presented. However, it can be reasoned that one opinion is better supported by the facts than another by analysing the supporting arguments.

Sure, bring the pandas, the monks, and Pandaria, I don't mind particularly about the anti-panda trend, although.

Now... the pokémon rip-off? it does not appeal me at all. I find it more offensive to be a huge feature in MoP, than Pandas for most people.
The conflict Horde vs. Alliance? Seems forced to me, as we had two common enemies defeated by both factions, Arthas and Neltharion.
I want to see how well (or badly) they are going to justify the eruption of a war, lorewise.
The other features are tasteless, to me.
