Because figuring out how to play your class on your own with the 10000s of guides out there is too tough. This smells troll to me.

But for real, decide what spec you want to play, look through your spellbook and your pets spellbook, make the macros which help you do things easier/faster, pretty much what you would do with any other class.

Quick & Dirty - Lock Leveling for Dummies!
Put your pet on Assist (so it attacks what you attack), turn on autocast on their abilities (so you don't have to manage them).
DI=Dark Intent (while leveling DI your pet)

Affliction (Felhunter): Curse of Elements, Haunt, Unstable Affliction, Corruption, Bane of Agony, Shadow Bolt spam...Life Tap for mana

Demonology (Felguard): Curse of Elements, Hand of Gul'dan, Immolate, Corruption, Bane of Agony, Incinerate spam....Life Tap for mana

Destruction (Imp): Curse of Elements, Immolate, Conflagrate, Corruption, Bane of Agony, Chaos Bolt, Incinerate spam....Life Tap for mana

These are the basics to get to know your toon's simple abilites fast so you may further level, but in no way shows you how to play a Lock correctly.
