    [FOOD] Scrumplings

I just invented a dish in my head. I call em scrumplings. Dumplings filled with scrambled eggs (and cheese, but you could make em without). Sounds yummy to me.

    Thoughts?

    I second this exact sentiment.

Dumpling filled with eggs doesn't sound bad. Doesn't sound great either. Would be pretty bland actually.

I think it sounds tasty, just make sure its seasoned well

    Sounds....strange.

Sounds pretty good if it was with mozarella cheese and seasoned properly. would have to be REALLY cheesy to work i think though. would be better off putting practically anything else in there tho imo. w/ mozarella cheese

like meatballs or goat meat or something like that

Hmm, you need something with a strong taste there. Why don't you extra eggs in your dumpling batter so you'll get the eggy taste, and fill it with some blue cheese?

Eggs Benedict? I know the muffin isn't a dumpling, but it's not far off.

I just got a strange urge... to see if I can put an egg in my normal beer batter and then fry it. brb.

Are yah sure it's not an egg and cheese hot pocket or a breakfast burrito? sounds mighty similar.

If he called it "Snot in a Rag" it would follow a long line of delicious sounding British foods like "Toad in the Hole" and "Spotted Dick". Not saying Brits would buy it, but it would sound just as delicious.

I dunno about dumplings as I consider them pretty similar to a homemade noodle, but it might work with puff pastry? (Or you could get a can of crescent rolls and make eggs and cheese in a blanket? oh dont forget the bacon though!)

Best post I've read in a while.

I'd say it would be good with sausage mixed in. Otherwise, I'd rather just have an omelette.

Add sausage or ham. With some cheese, deep fry them.

If it doesn't have bacon, what's the point?
