Can anyone recommend a hero thats similar to Tryndamere playstyle or so? If there is none thats similar or close, anything that resemble barbarian/berserker is fine (Huskar and Bloodseeker seems similar to that in some extend). Also, is there any hero that uses something beside mana bar or perhaps use very little that doesnt matters much how much he/she got or has a way to regain the mana fast with kills (maybe) ? Thank you.
(Dont have beta access nor I would, http://www.dota2wiki.com/wiki/Heroes <---Site Im checkin heroes in.)
Every hero uses mana. In terms of right clicking and using 1 ability, like Zaruru said Sven is simple. Stun, ulti, warcry, smack shit. He is played more as a support/semi than he is a real carry, though. Huskar & Bloodseeker are rather close also. Honestly though, Skeleton King is probably the most similar. Only 1 active ability. Literally run in right clicking after you hit them with the 1 active. His ulti is basically what Tryndamere wishes he had, a self-rez on death.
Thanks Zaruru and Kurdiern, I will read and watch some videos about Axe, Sven, and Skeleton King.

Hey there, back to question 1 ^^
Well i would say, if you want an easy game with low skillcap LOL is the game for you. But if you are a hardcorer gamer, then go with Dota2. Feel free to ask more questions
-Worldedit!
Not sure if directed at me but rather not open doors on which one requires more skills or so, cause it open doors of hell (or something)*. Just wanted to know a hero thats similar in playstyle thats all. Thank you though I will ask if I got more questions^.^
*I will keep that in mind though.
The thing si if you watch LoL scene even profesional players make mistakes playing the game and often don't know why what they have done didn't work as it should have. So I am not sure how low the skillcap is. Maybe to do well enough in LoL is much easier than in DotA, but skillcap ...
Some rescue. No wonder you're called the Order of Whispers. Nobody would brag about this.
What have you become when even nightmares fear you ?
He should not have used the word skillcap, but it does hold true. Dota is A LOT harder to get into and LOL is made to be easy to get into. They are also pretty different games the only thing similar is 5v5 3 lanes....everything else is different, dota's emphasis on items and ganking, while LOL is supposed to be more passive and set item builds for every character (I have only played LOL a few times so don't be too harsh :P). Not to mention spellcasters are COMPLETELY different in both games, Dota has a lot of emphasis on mana conservation, what i experienced in LoL was almost limitless mana and spam from my abilities, if you tried that in dota without a proper item build you would be out of mana in 2 or 3 uses.
I got my beta key a couple weeks ago and I was wondering if anyone could suggest a couple of heroes for a new DotA player. I'm a LoL player who usually jungles, but I get the impression that I'd be better off focusing on a simpler role in DotA2. Honestly, any suggestions/resources would be welcome. Thanks.
I'm having a sound issue with DotA 2. Suddenly when I'm playing (or even when I'm just chatting), the sound of my PC stops working and videos (like youtube or streams) stop working too, and I need to reboot the PC to fix it. I have this same problem with Dungeon Defenders. Does anyone else have this problem too?
I would recommend Juggernault. Can anyone recommend a hero thats similar to Tryndamere playstyle or so? If there is none thats similar or close, anything that resemble barbarian/berserker is fine (Huskar and Bloodseeker seems similar to that in some extend).
Try stormspirit. Ulti is basically a dash that consumes mana & does damage if you hit them.
New heroes, Lich, Sven, Lina, CM....Basically support champions. Let you get a good feel for the game. Once you feel confident you can move up to Semi/More Active roles. My progression went from Lich/CM/Lina -> WR/PotM -> Spectre/Drow. Now I've branched out and am trying all heroes, but that was how my first 15 games or so went in terms of what heroes I played.
Naix, Wolf, Axe, Enigma - these are solid junglers and are all fairly easy to get the hang of.
One thing to keep in mind, carries as a concept are nothing like they are in LoL. The vast majority of games will be filled with soft carries, hard carries are very hard to pull off and take an exact playstyle - not just by you, but by your entire team. It is EXTREMELY dangerous to try to hard carry in public games, regardless of how good you are. You need a ton of farm which involves your team NOT farming, something pubs really don't want to do. They also need to create pressure and team fights in areas of the map that keep you safe, another thing pubs aren't good at. You don't get 20 minutes of early game to screw around with like you do in LoL. For this reason, I don't recommend hard carries even for experienced players.

Hmm... I looked at the Hero list of DotA2. Zeus and Invoker seemed most interesting to me, though I hear that Invoker is one of the hardest heroes to play.
Still don't have a Beta key, though.![]()
I checked Invoker on dota2 wiki couple of days earlier. he looks pretty fun and simpledont understand why people keep saying hes hard.
spend 5m memorizing the spell combo's, when you see your enemy team and you choose what lane your going for, set up your spell tactic's
But seeing as I have never played with him, is he really that hard as people make him out to be ?
Last time i saw a dota player stream (dota 2 from Col.CatZ) was about invoker, he is a bit tricky, since you have to learn every combo and know how to use each spell, but once you master it, you'll stomp players really hard, it's an interesting hero but it's "harder" to learn to play him than any other hero.
Yeah, one reason why I like Invoker is that he seems like a complicated hero that's just plain fun when you get him right.
I also like Zeus because he's a badass thunder god-man, can't dislike that.
