Saw your post in my email before you edited Tetris. You can actually play it fairly well at 1920x1080, I'm shocked at how good it looks! :O

Alan Wake I'm going to try at my buddy's house sometime on his Xbox 360 (probably watch him) before I buy it. Maybe check some youtube vids too, horror games are hit or miss with me.

As for the true graphics benchmark.... I bought The Witcher 2 Enhanced whatever thing. Still downloading.... an hour later, not even 50% done. >_< Damn 2MB/s capping speeds. =S Shit though, they don't compress it at all it seems! 16,311MB to download. GUH!!!

Moved Diablo 3 onto my old 600GB Western Digital Caviar Blue to open up space. My little 128GB m4 is getting too small. heh

The devs for Alan Wake ditched the PC & told people it was a console couch game, some years later they came back to us with the port.

I can understand their strain on their upload bandwidth, but it feels annoying to not even utilise two thirds of ones download speed at peak.

Seriously wish we could get better internet speeds here in America. It's like our ISPs are living in 2007 but still trying to give us a 2012 internet. =|

Downloaded the Valve-pack yesterday. Peaked at 20MB/s or so, average was closer to 14-15.

I believe their servers are extra stressed at this time though (being summer sale and all). I'm getting 7-9MB/s now.

it comes down to money, they don't want to spend it on upgrading the lines going to millions of homes

we would need a several hundred billion dollar program from the government to upgrade the internet in the US, something similar to Eisenhower's highway initiative


could we do this? yes and easily, but its not gonna happen for a while, it probably wont even be brought up in congress for at least another 10 years

and in the mean time we have to deal with pro-copyright claiming that anyone who wants a larger connection "is obviously a pirate"

I'm honestly sad that they basically have no repercussion for all the bullshit they pull on the people. Attempts to grab away basic rights (privacy and reselling what you own), public propaganda (SOPA ad anyone?), and attempts to install global surveillance of the public (SOPA, etc). Seriously, wtf.

I need to phone our ISP, when we renewed the contract they were like "oh yeah, we've updated the stuff in the box in the road, you will definitely get the 16Mbit connection you have been paying for for two years.

technically if you stop broadcasting TV, cable is capable of ~1Gb/s full duplex, all we have to do is get rid of that TV industry

TV can get stuffed, give us our gigabit broadband There's never anything worth watching on TV anyway, and the few things that are can be found on the broadcaster's website.

Currently have about 2GB free, I suppose I could probably open a bit up if I moved some of these programs to a HDD that are far less tasking. The temperature monitoring ones for sure.

Not sure what I'll do when Rift: Storm Legion gets released. =S

I essentially posted this just for people who seem to think you can't fit much on even a 128GB SSD... look up the sizes of some of these games, you can fit a lot. Obviously I'd have to get rid of a few if I played WoW - but I don't. :P

Yay, someone else followed suit! If we can, I'd love to have several folks with different games and such installed on their SSDs to post. The more in detail you get, the better we can show folks who are wary about SSDs and their small space just how much you can really get in there.
