    How off-topic.

Fun thing to note about the X-Fi that is weird, the port on the far right, that has a raised piece of PCB... that is a 3.5mm jack, assigned to microphone. In addition to that, it also functions as a S/PDIF coaxial jack via RCA, with some adapter the card didn't come with. On top of that, it also has a little transmitter in the very back of it to function as S/PDIF over TOSLINK optical, with another, different adapter that also didn't come with the card.

Well atleast you have the option of putting it below your GPU >_> I have mine pretty much frying against the GPU backplate because it can't go anywhere else...I've wedged a piece of cardboard between the two so the heat doesn't conduct straight from the metal backplate to the metal STX shielding.
Cardboard, permanent marker, I like the way you improvise

260 euros isn't that bad for a setup like that imo.

Corsair SP-2500 or good 2.0 Monitors. Add a Sub and another 2.0 when and if you feel the need for it. The SP-2500 are one of very few good computer-speakers.

Are you sure you have placement for 5.1 or even 7.1?

I.e. a way to route and place a few speakers behind you. Not really 5.1 or 7.1 if the speakers are all gathered in front :P

    Hm.
I should start working on a FAQ for monitors. Throwing a few truths out there could never hurt. Also, WTB more PVA monitors.
In the meantime, I'll have to resort with my favourite hobby.
