Could someone with the K90 please measure it's length :/ Can't seem to find the info anywhere.
I have a sneaky feeling it's not going to fit my desk
What's your preferred method of applying thermal paste ? I'm a vertical-line-man myself.

Depends on the chip, for quad-core CPU's I use dot method but it's more of an "stretched-out" dot down the middle (nearly a line) since that's where the cores are located.
For huge GPU chips (e.g. GF110) I use X method.
For a smaller chips like i5 3570K/3770K I would always use dot method though.

For CPUs? Spreading serves little point. Dot-method in the middle. As always with thermal compound; Rather too little than too much, but extremes in both ends are worse yet. :P
The actual cpu is a small portion under the heatspreader. Covering that area is the most important part, the rest is just bonus. It spreads itself more than it needs to that way, so yeah.
GPU? A careful dot.
A small blob where the actual processor bit is. I think the "spreading" method opens up the possibility of air bubbles forming between the heatsink and the CPU, and air is a fantastic heat insulator.

Sorry I can't hear you over all that money the game has already made.

Not too into the recent fps besides BF3, I was excited about getting Assassin's Creed 3 but then I saw that they're doing a staggered release for pc >.< It sucks, but I guess I'm better off since I found a way to get the deluxe version for $46 instead of the $80 at retail price.

Never bothered using the discs, it was simply too slow, used steam download instead :P
It concerns me that thare's no manual in the box though, I enjoy reading those on the toilet.
Edit: Just checked my disk, was a regular disk =/
