I get that taking direct shots at each other without the slightest hint of subtlety is getting popular now that Sony did it to MS, but I didn't know that it could be done with such an INSANE amount of "I'm butthurt!" being the ultimate message.
They have the nerve to make an advert like that when nVidia's 3 fastest cards hold the best performance in ALL the "Gaming Evolved" titles listed there, and Crossfire is still fucked until July 31st, at which point it will finally catch up to SLI.

I'm not against AMD but it's hard to support a company when they make an advert where one can only sigh at the whole we're-so-butthurt vibe coming out of it. I can't see any other way to interpret smashing up an nVidia card with a sledgehammer in front of everyone to see.

HD7970 is from Dec 2011, fwiw, and I would not really call them behind. It took nVidia until their second architecture-iteration to get past them. Again

I wasn't really saying they were behind either. Its just so neck and neck and which card is better basically depends on what game you're talking about. If you're going to start smashing other cards you should at least make sure you're winning by a big enough margin to have the 'right' to talk big.

Meh, since when does comercials need to be 100% correct in all ways and indisputable? "Best" gets thrown around a whole lot.
Besides, their sales are industry leading now iirc. That's got to count for something. It differs on country and store slightly, though.

You're probably right. It's like a child, the more attention you give it, the worse it gets.

At the same time, AMD made this. Not some blinded AMD fanboy or blinded nVidia-hater, but AMD themselves. It's really hard to dismiss it as a "everything here is a joke, we were all trollin' yo! It's supposed to be funny, laugh with us pls!".

Sony showing used games working and showing their console's "strengths" without actually referring to MS/XBone at all, that was humor.

They are going a bit far yes.

I haven't had my GPU's driver crash in literally months.
